-3rd POV-

""Nice comfort gameplay, but the writing is woefully shallow and lacks any kind of depth." I sent hat as my in-depth feedback to the lead dev, but I guess it got tossed in the "that's nice" pile." Idia said.

"Very likely, considering what Malleus-san has done far for the people trapped in his domain. All he's done is give the vague order of, "keep dreaming happy dreams." It's the dreamers themselves whose imagination form those happy dreams. Of course, those dreams still have to be made within Malleus-san's constraints...Namely, no negative emotions like sadness or anger allowed." Ortho said.

(Y/n) shook her head, "No one can experience genuine happiness in a world like that."

"Yup, p. much what (Y/n) said." The male behind the tablet said, "It's like playing a video game where you start at max level and every enemy steers clear of you. There's no losing and retrying. No trial and errors to overcome obstacles. The challenge and payoff of getting good is what truly makes gaming rewarding."

"In Malleus-sama's case..." Silver muttered, "I think in terms of encountering rewarding challenges, his experience is extremely limited. Ever since he was born...Or even before then...He's had enough power to easily trounce even veteran soldiers. Starting at max level and having every enemy steer clear isn't just an analogy for him. I think it's an accurate description of his life." He thought back to Lilia's dream.

"Ahh...hooo...You know...I could maybe see that...Our school's housewardens are all p. fearless. Some of 'em even needle Malleus at every chance they get. But if any of 'em so much as flicked Malleus's forehead while he was in a bad mood, they'd end up at the nurse's office, guaranteed. Best-case, he'd get expelled. Worst-case, it'd blow up into an international incident."

Sebek nodded, "Mmhm. Hence, all humans who go to out school...should be truly grateful for Malleus-sama's incomparable discretion and magnanimity. That's the obvious conclusion!" He smirked.

"Sheesh...Talk about commitment to the bit." Grim said, deadpanning at him.

"If Malleus actually matches Sebek's description and had some unflappable superhuman psyche...We wouldn't be in this mess at all. But nope, this natural-born overlord and walking cheat code experiences the same emotional highs and lows that the rest of us do. That's what I call a glaring design flaw." Idia muttered to himself.

"Uh...Anyway, guess that's getting off-topic. We should focus on how we can wake Vil up. So uh, any ideas from the Pomefiore students who eat and sleep under the same roof as him?"

Rook raised a hand, "...I have one. Would you all be willing to help me?"

"And now it's time to announce the winner of the Award for Best Actor." The presenter said as in his hand he had the envelope, "Even I don't know whose name is contained in this envelope. My hands are trembling." He opened it, "The recipient of this year's prestigious Diamond Movie Award for Best Actor is..." He read the name, "Vil Schoenheit!"

A spotlight was over Vil, who was shocked, before he stood with a smile.

"Me? Truly?" He said.

"You've earned it, Vil-sama!" Neige smiled, congratulating the male.

"Congratulations, Vil! Come step up to the podium. This shining crown is yours to wear!" The presenter said, crown in hand.

The male did as so, while the loudspeaker spoke.

"Vil Schoenheit made his movie debut at the young age of seven in From the Farthest Space. He starred in the movie adaptation of the wildly popular children's book, I'm Wishing..." It was Rook's voice, "...not as the protagonist, but as the antagonist, with a stunning performance that absolutely leapt off the screen."
