-3rd POV-

"No private side conversations at my tea parties! If you want to talk, speak loudly and clearly!" Riddle exclaimed.

"Ah, all right." Silver slowly nodded, before clearing his throat, "You said you couldn't use magic, Riddle. Does that mean you go to a regular local school?"

"Huh? I don't go to school at all."

"Bwha?" The ADeuce duo said, shocked.

"I haaate school and studying! School is so boring and stifling. Going there is such a waste of time!"

"That's not true!" Deuce instantly stood up.

Ace looked at him in shock, "Whoa, Deuce?!"

"Erk, sorry. Didn't mean to shout..." He said, sitting back down, "I used to hate studying and school too. Just like you, Riddle-san."

"As someone should, really. It's awful." The red haired male said.

"But the only reason I thought classes were boring and stifling was because I couldn't understand the material. And how could I? I was always cutting classes. But...Ever since I enrolled at Night Raven College, I've been learning from more than just teachers. My housewarden tutors me." He softly smiled.

"Your..." He raised a brow, "housewarden?"

"He's basically our dorm's leader. Ace, Trey-senpai, Cater-senpai, and I are all in the same dorm! Thanks to our housewarden tutoring me, I've started slowly getting a handle on the material. Now I enjoy school, and I've come to believe studying is really worthwhile." He smiled as his fellow Heartslabyul members smiled too.

"Uh-huh. So what if you understand the material? If you spend all your time behind a desk, all the fun things to do in the world will pass you by. That's the last thing I want! I don't want to read a single page out of some boring book with no illustrations."

"Ah, but there are plenty of books that don't need illustrations to captivate the reader." Sebek spoke up.

"Even so, I'm perfectly fine not reading at all! After all, I have but to ask, and dad will pen a story for me on the spot and read it out to me. A wonderful, wild, whimsical adventure where I'm the protagonist! Dad's always in the study, and I can go see him any time I want to hear a story."

"Why would I ever want to be subjected to a school schedule, or be forced to read boring books? That's just ridiculous. I have so much more fun listening to dad tell stories while we're boating or playing croquet." Riddle smiled.

Cater perked up at the familiar sport, "Croquet, huh? That's definitely a major sport in the Queendom of Roses. It's almost always in tales about the Queen of Hearts. Lemme tell you something about Heartslabyul, our dorm at school. It's based on the spirit of strictness espoused by the Queen of Hearts, one of the Great Seven. So our dorm has a tradition of croquet tournaments, and our housewarden's really good at the game."

"Oho. Better than me?"

"Hard to say there, but he's definitely the best in our whole dorm! He's always super stringent about rules. He practically personifies the ideas of strictness and discipline."

"Ick. Who would willingly let themselves get tied down by rules? Not me!" Riddle stuck out his tongue, "Rules just suck the fun out of things. I'm sure your housewarden is as joyless and unpleasant as they come."

"That's not—" Deuce was cut off when he was grabbed by his arm.

"Let it go, Deuce." Ace muttered.

"But that's not right! Even if this is a dream, it's like he's invalidating himself...!"
