-3rd POV-

"Aether signal tracking successful. We have arrived at the designated coordinates. So, is everyone feeling okay? I know this is your first jump, Cater Diamond-san." Ortho said, turning to the said male.

"Me? That place we were moving through was so cool, I spent the whole ride recording the view! It was like being in one of those high-impact skydiving videos. Don't you think this would do serious numbers on the 'cam? Though I guess right now I'd be the only one watching it." Cater said, grinned as he watched the video.

"You had the fortitude to film, Cater-san? I guess you're not feeling the slightest bit airsick."

"Nope, all good! Though checking the video...The audio is pretty much all roaring wind and Grimmy screaming, so I'd better replace it with music before I post it." He pouted, before looking around, "...Hm? Hey...Wait a minute. Now that I'm looking around, this place is super gorgeous too! Look at that clear blue water and white sandy beach! Talk about 'cammable!" He instantly took pictures.

"The heat is sweltering. It reminds me of Ruggie-senpai and Leona-senpai's dreams." Sebek turned to the rest, wiping his brow, "Is Ace Trappola from the Sunset Savanna?"

Leona shook his head, "No. And judging by the texture of the sand, the humidity, and the types of plant life here...This is a far cry from the Sunset Savanna I know. My bet is we're in another country."

"Ace is from the Queendom of Roses, like me. My hometown's in the southern region, and Ace has mentioned he's from somewhere way closer to the capital than me..." Deuce informed.

"The capital of the Queendom of Roses is inland. It's got a large canal, but none of it borders the ocean. I wondered if we might be looking at a big lake or river, but judging by the salty tang to the air, that's definitely the sea."

"That means this dream isn't set in his hometown." Silver said.

"I bet this dream is gonna be like, an endless, carefree summer vacation...considerin' how big a goofball Ace is." Grim said.

The orange haired male nodded, "I could see it. After all, this place has serious tropical resort vibes. Ahh, the sea breeze feels so nice! I'd catch some waves if things were less urgent. The waves are just the right height. This would make a great surfing spot."

The dark blue haired male looked at him in shock, "Wow, you don't just skateboard? You surf, too?"

"Yup, totally! For a few years I lived in a southern coastal part of the Shaftlands that's warm year 'round. I surf at the beach, skateboard on the streets, and snowboard in the peaks! I'm into pretty much every sport that involves riding a board."

"Dude...All those terms for extrovert activities I'd never touch with a ten-foot pole..." Idia said.

Ortho turned to the tablet, tilting his head, "Really? I seem to recall you once built a replica of the barcas that the Charon troops ride...and tore through the Island of Woe's residential neighborhood astride it. Doesn't that qualify as having fun riding a board, just like Cater-san's talking about?"

"Look, that's totally different. In my case, it was the equivalent of careening through a home improvement store riding a shopping cart. It was more of a wish fulfillment thing..."

Cater grinned, letting out a small laugh, "So that's what you call the hoverboards those goons were riding when they abducted Riddle and the others. Barcas, huh. I bet those things would be fun to ride on, like surfing in mid-air! You've gotta let me try one sometime, Idia."

"Eep...! That laid-back tone he took talking about Riddle and the others getting abducted was too creepy...Was that meant to be a threat?" He muttered to himself, "Uh, well, you have to have a flier's license and a special technomantic vehicle license to ride a barca. So um, we can't exactly lend them out...Sorry..."
