New year, new chapters! Hope everyone had a wonderful break and got good gifts! During my small hiatus, I literally would write or sleep lol. And I still need sleep because I screwed up my sleeping schedule for the 100th time, but that was to be expected.

But I'm ready for season 2 of Twisted Wonderland. Leona, my man, I ask for one chance ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ

-3rd POV-

"I'm not sure where to even begin, but I'll start with this..." Trey turned to the housewarden with a smile, "Riddle, I'm so glad you're safe."

Riddle smiled and nodded as he looked at all of them, "Likewise for the rest of you. I owe Idia-senpai and Ortho my gratitude...As well as Leona-senpai, Silver, and all the others."

"We got the teeniest glimpse of you fighting hard in Idia's room, Riddle!" Cater said.

Deuce nodded, "When the Styx staff told us you were reading manuals and fending off attacks at the same time, I was amazed. It made me even more impressed by people with good study habits!" He smiled.

"I think that went way beyond what "good study habits" would let someone do..."

"I hate to admit it, but I couldn't have done nearly as much without Idia-senpai's support. I've come to realize people call him a "maverick genius" for good reason. Once I wake up, I'm going to study technomantic engineering a bit more in-depth. Though I have to wonder..." The red haired male deadpanned, "If he's capable of such incredible feats, why is he so devoid of motivation most of the time?"

"Regardless, his plan has gotten us to the point where we can fight Malleus-senpai on equal footing...I know I cause trouble for you in my dream. I'll do everything I can in this upcoming battle to redeem myself. And I expect the rest of you to give this fight your fullest effort as well." He finished.

"Yes, housewarden!" Three of the Heartslabyul members said.

Ace, who was silent till now, spoke up, "...What? That's it?" He said, slightly glaring at him.

Riddle blinked at him in surprise, "Huh?"

"The upperclassmen and Sebek all got totally stomped in your dream. Even (Y/n) sacrificed her body by getting frostbite! The knowledge that it would all be over if we failed to stop you was so awful, my palms were sweating and my legs were shaking. Do you have any idea how terrified we were?"

"Ace..." Deuce muttered.

"When Deuce and I were trying to pull you up while your dream was collapsing...how do you thing Trey-senpai and Cater-senpai must've felt when you ordered them to take us and go? And then we didn't know where you even were for hours after that! And when we finally found you, there was a whole other crisis..." Ace's voice broke, "Man..." He let out a sigh as he dropped to his knees, feeling his eyes watering, ""Causing trouble" doesn't even begin to cover it. Don't you have anything else to say to us after all that?!" He sniffled as tears fell, streaming down his face, "Ugh, this sucks..."

"Goodness gracious. You let it all out at once, huh, Ace-chan?" Cater said.

The green haired male smiled, "You really fought hard back there, Ace. And you too, Deuce. Who knows what kind of mess we'd be in if you guys hadn't come through? Thanks. You did good."

The freshman stood up, wiping his face but more tears streamed down, "Argh, don't treat me like a kid!" He sniffled.

Riddle was shocked, "I'm, ah...not certain what words would be the most appropriate at a time like this, but..." He turned to the upperclassmen, "Trey. Cater. I appreciate all the hard you put in day in and day out on my behalf."
