-3rd POV-
"Yes, those are some enormous footsteps. There's one, two...No, four." Silver lowly said.
"Their size is far beyond human norms." Ortho said.
"Could it be the darkness?" Sebek questioned.
"Even if it was, this is clearly different from how it's operated before. Maybe it's a new type of darkness..." The silver haired male said.
"Regardless, we should avoid engaging hostiles right now." The boy said.
"Where can we hide?" He questioned, looking around.
"There's a hidden closet behind this clock. Let's lie low in there!" Deuce pointed out.
"Our dorm's doors can sometimes lead to weird places when they feel like it, so make sure to stay close to us." Ace said, as the two took the lead and went to hide, only too peek to see what the enormous footsteps were.
They could hear breathing.
"Eep...It's gettin' closer!" Grim whispered.
"Whatever it is, it's huge. Did a hedgehog get into some giant-growth bread, or maybe the cookies?" The dark blue haired male said.
"Wait, hold on. That's..." The orange haired male eyes widen along with everyone's else.
-----
"Care for a sip of fruit punch while the cookies are baking? I've got fresh marcarons, too." Trey said, bringing over cups and a pitcher.
"Uh, great..." Cater sweatdropped, "Yeah, that's great, thanks."
"The white punch has a minty flavor, if you want a palate cleanser."
"You've brought enough. There's nowhere left to put anything." Leona said.
"That's okay, I can just slide another table over...Oh, whoops. The sticky toffee pudding's almost ready!" He said, as he then walked off.
"I was hoping to pick up some hints for how to wake him up if we could get him to talk..." He watched the male, who was on one side of the kitchen then the other side, "But he refuses to sit down and chat."
"It's so nice seeing him just happily baking away without a care in the world." Cater said.
"I dunno if "nice" is the word I'd use. It's kinda scary, if you ask me. The ovens, microwaves, pots, pans, and fridges are all spitting out food nonstop. Just seeing all of it on the monitor is making me feel stuffed." Idia said.
"Hmm..." He hummed in thought, "This is pretty rough."
The lion male nodded, "Yeah, it'd be rough on your digestive system, being fed such a huge mound of sweets."
"That's not what I meant. I kinda felt this way in Ace's dream too...We're strolling into someone's merry dream and going, "Hey, it's all an illusion, fun's over!" That's basically all we're doing here, right? That can put a pretty big damper on things. Silver and the others are amazing."
"If I were in their shoes, I'd totally start wondering if maybe it was better we just...didn't wake people up. If we couldn't just let it be. In fact, that's kinda where I am right now."
"Hah. So much for that motivational speech you gave Spikey about not setting for being weak. You walkin' all that bravado back?" Leona smirked.
"Nah. I was just thinking, if that whole spat with Riddle's family had never happened...Trey might've turned out to be a peppy patisserie just like this."
"Wait, a spat with Riddle's family?" The male behind the tablet said.
The green haired came up them, "Hey, guys. The sticky toffee pudding's all done! It's especially got fresh out of the oven when the toffee is all gooey and hot. Go on, eat up." He said, as the two had their eyes widen.
