Chapter 6 - what's FAF?

I yawned as I walked into the living room, to find all three kids sat watching an old episode of supernatural, I knew exactly which episode it was...so I walked out And walked into the kitchen, in rather a hurry "sup with you?" Mouse spun around with an empty cup in hand "...3...2...1-" I counted down and scrunched my face up as the kids came barging through the door "OH MY GOD YOU HAD SEX WITH UNCLE JENSEN!!!!" Summer burst out "oh hardly...We were acting!" Mouse handed me a milky coffee as the kids looked at me in disgust "but if you want to be that particular and go down that road, I had sex with uncle jared too and not forgetting uncle Misha but we were acting!!!!! I HAD CLOTHES ON" I took a mouthful of the delicious coffee that seemed to taste better than usual "your mum has a point...." Mouse looked at them as he pushed forward three cups "look, if I knew you were watching it I could've warned you...I can understand it isn't the nicest thing to see or to even think about okay but it had to happen sooner or later" I looked at them who had now all calmed down "no wonder my friends thing your FAF" Alex took another mouthful, I looked at mouse who had the same confused expression "FAF? What's FAF?" I leant forward "oh! Fit as fu-" "OKAY! Say no more! I need to go get changed, look if you want to carry on watching, I'll tell you the episodes that are a bit hmm and you can skip them?" "Sounds good!" Summer nodded at me, as I took my coffee with me upstairs.

Mouse came up shortly "what did you put in my coffee this morning?" I looked at him through the mirror as I added my blusher "may have added a bit of baileys, you're nervous...and I can't believe you're doing this even when your back isn't healed yet" "I'm only appearing on TV...it's hardly anything I'm only surprising someone, speaking of my back and I know how much you love me...." Mouse held up a new plaster ready "I love you" "I know" he grinned as knelt down, I felt him pull the plaster away, wipe anything there and stuck the new plaster on kissing it before standing up, "Thankyou" I kissed him as I spun around "right well I'll see you later" "what? Charlie we're coming with you" "what? All of you?" He nodded at me "but....I'm only surprising someone..." "We want to support you" he smiled at me as he pulled on a shirt, we suddenly heard the kids groan "what was that?" "That was the kids seeing me kiss uncle Misha" mouse burst into hysterics "good job I don't have that reaction every time huh?" "Hmmm" I kissed him quick and walked down the stairs with Mouse behind me.

Mouse was about to get in the car when I suddenly remembered I'd won on the lottery, "I'll walk! We can all walk, it's only on Bondi but I need to get this lottery" I held up the ticket "oh right okay come on kids" mouse turned off the TV and marched them all out the door. As we made our way down the street there was a homeless man sat on a doorstep, with a sign that read *kicked to the street for being blind, homeless and hungry* the sign was scribbly, barely readable, "mouse hold on..." "Charlie what are you doing?" He let go of my hand as I went to the man, "hey" I said softly as I took his hand, he jumped at the touch "I'm sorry I'm partially blind, do I need to move am I in the way?" "No! God no! Erm...how old are you?" "I'm 19 miss" I took a breath as I looked at the young face trying to study mine "hey, Erm I have a winning lottery ticket, I'd like you to have it, come on, I'll take you to the shop" I helped him to his feet and helped him walk to the nearest newsagent, we handed the ticket over "this is Harry, and he has a winning lottery ticket" "okay Harry that's 10,000 winning I'll write a cheque and put it in an envelope for you" Harry turned to face me "I'll share it with you!" He clasped my hands "no, you won't, I want you to have it" he was given the envelope "thank you...thank you so much" "now, I've called someone who's here now, they're going to take you to a bank, get you sorted and we will make sure you get a house and get sorted okay?" My agent took his hand gently and lead him out the door "miss I didn't get your name, I can't really say an angel saved me people won't believe me" he smiled "it's Charlie Jenkinson" "thank you Charlie, good things will come your way" he blew me a kiss and walked out the door.

We eventually made it down to the beach, i was suddenly surrounded by camera crew "okay Charlie this is for the English TV show surprise surprise" they gave me a quick briefing and handed me an envelope with a photo inside, "okay get to your position and we shall shout action" the crew smiled at me as I stood on my mark, "okay action!" I nodded at the camera and smiled "hey guys, I'm Charlie Jenkinson and I'm here to surprise a fan of mine who has had it rough over the last few years but has fought her way threw and still stand as tall today, milli, as a young woman who had lost her father at a young age due to marriage difficulties, and after 10 years had found him, here's a picture of the pair now!" I opened the envelope "Now look closely at this picture....ooooo...." I held my hand to my mouth quickly "why are you doing this to me...that me!" My voice went extremely high pitched as my eyes filled with tears "that's my dad..." I held a hand to my chest as I tried to swallow back the tears "surprise surprise Charlie" mouse came on camera with the kids "what?" "You're not really surprising anyone we were surprising you" summer started "what why?" "Because we think you deserve it after everything you've done..." "But I don't do if for anything in return" I sniffed "no we know, but we wanted to" Alex smiled at me "so....we know your campaign has been doing great online" mouse began "but we wanted it to do great in another way" summer finished "so surprise surprise, here are a set of keys to your new store that's been built on Bondi street, that sells all of your merchandise, from the hats, phones cases and even new things like whistles surfboards" whippet appeared behind me wearing all of the new gear "I'll try to make sure im in there everyday!" I wiped my eyes as I took the keys "we've covered that too, the man you helped earlier, he's here, cleaned up and ready to work for you" Harry came up with maxi, dressed smartly, hair cut, and a great big smile on his face "hey Charlie, I can actually see you now, new contacts, seems I wasn't blind, just needed glasses" he chuckled as I hugged him tightly "there you go mum, that's all up and running now and look at the queue you have already!" I looked at the store, people cheering and pulling party poppers "I just want to say a big Thankyou, to everyone, I didn't do this for a reward but I will make sure that this store will send worldwide, and make sure it reaches everyone it needs to! Thank you so much again!" The cameras stopped rolling as I crumbled into mouse's arms and pulled the kids in "thankyouuu" I sobbed into his shoulder as Flynn tugged on my arm "mum come on you need to see inside!" We all made our way into the store where I stood amazed.

Everything set out beautifully, it was clean, smelt of lavender and had my favourite songs playing in the background "I chose the music" Flynn nudged my ribs "wouldn't have it any other way" I kissed his cheek when a photo on the wall suddenly caught my eye, I walked over and there was a picture of me and my dad, I was sat on his shoulders holding onto his head, he was looking up at me, he was wearing his *my daughter is the best* shirt, I started to well up again as I hadn't realised the quote written on the wall "never give up, great things take time" I read aloud "my dad used to say that" "yeah we know....that's whys it's there, about his photo" Alex hugged me tightly.

I opened the doors to the store, what felt like hundreds of people came through the Doors, mouse had arranged for pots of sweets and small glasses of alcohol and soft drinks to be given to anyone who wanted them, the buzz was unreal, the smiles on people's faces, there was a book in the corner where people could write messages or tell them their stories, it felt amazing and I never wanted it to end.
