RESCUE - Part 2

Chapter 22 - im a celeb

It'd been a couple of weeks, and it'd been pretty normal, get up, go to work, come home, cook dinner, sleep and repeat, however there was one thing that stood out, well two things, one being my invite to go onto I'm a celebrity, the second was a fan of mine, I'd known them a while, they claimed to be my number one fan, we'd exchanged a few tweets and he'd sent a few pictures he'd drawn, that morning mouse had driven us to work, I had such a sore throat, today was the day i was going to go into the jungle and have a word with this lady c people had Been arguing about, there was a week left, but they wanted a new face, and I was their choice...

We were at work for 6, I had a quick hug with everyone before being picked up and taken to a helicopter, I was excited, nervous, but I was going to mouse and the kids so SO much, I'd been given my shorts, shirt with my name on it, a hat, water bottle and whatever, I got in the helicopter, and took a breath as it set off, the pilot was friendly, he was chatty making me feel at ease, luckily I didn't have to jump out, not one bit of me was going to jump out of a perfectly good helicopter...

I arrived in the jungle at 6.00 it was daylight still and I was met by ant and Dec at a clearing, I could hear the camp chatting, mainly arguing....but it made me excited, the duo hugged me tightly, before Dec spoke up "Okay Charlie you're going in to try and put people in their place" Dec smiled at me "oh right...and I was you're first choice for the job?" "Yes" "right lets go then" I took a breath before picking up my bag and walking down the hill bit to the camp where they all went quiet "Charlie Jenkinson?! What you doing here?!" Alex o'loughlin jumped up and ran toward me "hey you!!! I'm here to put you lot into place" I whispered at him as the rest of the camp including this lady came over and introduced themselves.

Mouse POV

Jensen, jared, their families, whip, Meg, their kids our kids, maxi, Brad, itchy all came round to ours, we sat in the movie room and watched her on the big screen, I had to keep swallowing to stop myself from crying, just seeing her there, and knowing how nasty this woman was...we all watched as Charlie sat down, Alex got her a hot drink, and people were talking to her all smiles, it cut to lady c sat on the bed next to another man "I don't understand who this Charlie is...she just swanned in here, all smiles, expecting people to know who she is...I don't know who she is..." This man kept just still, not agreeing not disagreeing "so who is she?" "She's a pretty A list celebrity...she's in loads of films, lots of to shoes her main one is Bondi rescue..." "Never heard of the show...it sounds ridiculous" well this caused an uproar in our house! "GUYS CALM DOWN....it's time for Charlie" they all went quiet...lady Cow sat down and began to rant at each person, asking why they're all there...who was really a celebrity, becuase of course she was a Royal, so she was the highest celebrity...they all looked at Charlie who kept shaking her head at them to not argue back, they nodded at her and stayed quiet, suddenly Charlie spoke up "sit your ass down, and shut up I'm sick of hearing your voice!" she looked at her before taking a sip of her tea "ooooh shit there's her stern voice! She'd do wise to listen to her!" I looked at Jensen who swallowed his beer nervously "I shall not sit down and shut up you whore! Who are you to tell me what to do you silly girl...I am a lady!" "Shit is about to go down!" I looked to whip as he leant forward as did most of the lads "okay first things first, I'm not a whore, nor have I ever been a whore, secondly, if you're a lady....then I'm the fucking Queen of Sheba" the camp crowded round and went quite "now, shut your mouth, go and sit your ass down and get the hell out from my face you rude woman" she got closer to her, Charlie, still in her calm tone looked at her, lady cow pointed at her face "don't you dare talk to an elder like that, you are nothing but a pretty face, you have been paid to come here and look pretty in the shower" how Charlie has stayed so calm still amazes me "if you're so much of an elder, i would've thought that you would've know better then to shout your mouth off, and call people names, and as for I'm nothing but a pretty face...ill have you know, I have saved thousands of lives, not just from drowning, but from suicide, depression and bullying, I own a charity campaign that receives over a million dollars a year that gets donated and has saved millions of lives, I belong to one of the best to shows not because it earns money, but becuase it's given me another family, they've helped me find a husband and given me a bloody great family, and another family not just with the actors, but with the fans, they're not fans they're friends, and I could tell you stories that they've shared with me, from a decade ago and I can remember their faces and their lives, I have raised three children and I have a husband who I love, and as for the pretty face, this pretty face has been bullied, this body has been shamed my life isn't all sunshine, sex and money, in fact it's more, charity, love and support, so next time you decide to jump to conclusions, just think before you speak you're pathetic mind" the camp cheered as lady c sat down and looked at her "now, Mrs, I want you to apologise to everyone in this camp, for the names you've called them, for the ways you've been" "I'm not apologising to anyone" She pointed her finger at her again "don't point pal, she'll have you" whip chuckled as I was getting engrossed into the tv, and we were right "point that finger at me again, I'm going to break it" "violence gets you know wher-" "and neither does being fouled mouthed!" Lady cow sat back "y'know what honey, I could be so cruel to you, I could be as horrible to you as you've been to this camp, and you'd soon discover that, words hurt more then punches, because y'know what, wounds heal, but the stuff you've been saying, it stays, in the back of your mind, and there's no going back from that, I've spent my life dealing with people like you, bullies, you're just a nasty bully" lady cow hadn't spoken again, "right, anyone want a cuppa?! I'll make them!" Charlie jumped up and went to fill the kettle, she was joined by six of the group who hugged her all individually.

I'd given everyone another drink, and sat back down for the last part of that episode, Towards the end of the segment it jumped to the camera room, Charlie was sat there, messing with a tissue "whip she's cryin" he looked at me as Charlie looked up at the camera, her eyes red, her nose running, her cheeks wet "why are you crying Charlie are you okay?" The camerawoman asked her "I'm being stupid, really...I just, walking into that camp I didn't know what to expect...I certainly didn't expect to be called a whore by an elder Royal...and God I'd never show this in front of her because y'know what, she'd use that against you, but, if I don't let it out like this I'm worried I'm gonna kill the woman" she wiped her eyes "because I've worked so hard to be where I am now, so hard to make people who have been bullied and hurt feel like they're worth something, but you get someone like that and for fuck sake she only called me a whore but, that hurt...I'm certainly not done with her, is she thinks she can call me names she can get ready, becuase I don't need to shout to get my point across, I don't need to swear, but if the time comes I will, I will put her in her place" the show ended "that's my girl" I high fived whip, and finished my beer.

Sorry this really wasn't a brilliant chapter, I've had totally writers block, like, total blank, gone, I have nothing, mind is blank, but hopefully it'll come back!!!
