RESCUE - Part 2

Chapter 15 - added to the list

It was a Saturday morning, mouse had gone out to get some bits from the store to fill the fridge of our new home when Alex came down "mum I've, I've been sent this from a sponsor and I wondered if you'd like to play with me?" I looked up at him holding this band kit and game "well you haven't asked me that since you were like 4!" He smiled at me as I nodded at him to put the game in.

So there we were, I was playing drums, Alex on the guitar, I was whipping my hair to Cherry Pie, singing along with Alex at the top of our voices rocking out until the song ended and we heard mouse clapping in the doorway "how long have you been stood there?" I wiped my hair from my sweaty face and smiled at him nervously "long enough to see you doing something you shouldn't be" he raised his eyebrows "you're supposed to be taking it easy!" "I'm sat down!" "The way you were whipping your hair I'm surprised you haven't given yourself whiplash" he came towards me "I feel like a naughty school kid!" He hugged me tightly and pulled back "ew gross you sweaty child go and have a shower and get dressed" "why?" "We are going to the mall!" "Ooh!" I kissed him and ran upstairs for a nice long hot shower.

We were driving along when I burst into a squeal "what the hell Charlie?!?" "LOOK!" I held up my phone *ARE YOU TINA?!* mouse read it out loud "no I'm Michael..." "Stop being stupid, it's a contest, people are dressing up as Tina Turner, the best one wins!" "Right?" He was playing dumb I swear! "Did we can add a film to the list!!" "I ain't dressing up as no Tina tuner!" "You won't have to! I'll do that part!" He pulled into the carpark and turned the engine off "so what film?" "Miss congeniality!" "Right..." He smiled at me as we got out the car.

"I'm going to kill you" mouse stood there in a bright yellow tight high leg cut leotard with sparkles bits on the breasts, sparkly skirt, long yellow gloves with pearly bracelets, but the thing that topped off the outfit, was the bright pink long feathers coming from his hat and his skirt "I look ridiculous!" "Hey you said you didn't wanna dress as a woman" I shuffled down my silver sequinned dress "THIS IS A WOMANS DRESS" "WATCH THE FILM!" "GUYS!!" A woman with a headset on looked at us "you're on!" She pointed to the stage "mouse I suddenly don't wanna do it!" "WERE DOING IT!" He shoved me on the stage, my god that was a lot of people "Charlie sing! Smile!" "I AM smiling!" I began to mime to the lyrics "Left a good job in the city, Workin' for the Man every night and day, and I never lost a minute of sleepin' Worryin' 'bout the way things might have been...Big wheel keep on turnin' Proud Mary keep on burnin' Rollin', rollin', rollin' on the river" the music kicked in, backup dancers dancing behind me including mouse, as I was miming I was directing mouse in what to do..."hell no I ain't doing no head shaking feather twisting shit!" "DO IT" we walked forward shaking our shoulders up and down to the music, the song came to an end as mouse lifted me up onto his shoulder to a big round of applauds.

We made a swift exit to the nearest McDonald's where I pretty much ordered everything! "Hungry were we?" Mouse smiled as I licked the tomato ketchup from my fingers "uh huh! So...are we gonna buy some things for the new house?" "I'm assuming you have something in mind?" "Look I don't know what's in the house but....I wanted this hanging up, framed properly..." Mouse looked at me as I took out the photo, but didn't unroll it when something caught my eye "y'know what, stupid idea! Let's just buy what we came for and go home and start moving everything!" I put the photo back in my bag and smiled at him, "Charlie?" "No no! Come on we NEED to go" I stood up quickly and took my bags, mouse follow behind as I walked into the baby shop.

When he caught l with me he took my arm "gonna tell me what that was about?" "Look at these!!" I held up an adorable set of baby grows, neutral colours "Charlie!" "Thomas!" I blurted back "Thomas?" "Thomas, was what that was all about!" I loaded things in my basket as I walked round mouse following like a confused puppy "Thomas?!" I spun around and got close to him "Thomas, the one I spent my time and effort into making a damn good lifeguard, the one who thanked me by raping me on the lifeguard changing room floor" his face changed "I'll kill him, did he see you?" "You won't go anywhere near him! And I don't think s-" "hey Charlie!" My blood ran cold at just the sound of his voice "why are you here?" I turned around to be met by his face, he looked the same, except for a few stress lines, he had a brunette on his arm, and a blonde stood next to him, she was about 8 months pregnant "we are shopping for the baby my sister has on the way, how you doing?" "Why are you talking to me like we're friends who haven't seen each other for a while, or are we forgetting what happened?" Mouse's hand found mine "I've paid my time in prison, the old me is gone, it's all in the last now, I'm a new man" "a new man, well....I still have the scars from where you hurt me, so, as soon as those scars are gone, then you might be forgiven, mouse let's shop elsewhere, good luck with the baby" we walked out leaving them behind, we went to find a coffee shop, I needed so,etching sweet and full of caffeine, mouse was talking about how he was going to move his man cave into the garage of the new home when the brunette came over to us "excuse me" "yes?" She took a seat at our table "I was told, that you had a bad break up, and that he beat your husband....please tell me the truth" "you won't want to know the truth" I looked at her "Charlie please" she grabbed a hold of my hand, mouse got up to the coffee bar, ordered three more coffees and came back as I leant in so I didn't have to talk to loudly.

"So there you go...no, it wasn't a bad breakup, he raped me, and not only did that leave mental scars he left me physical scars, I'm sorry you had to find out that way but, he doesn't deserve anyone" "no...thank you, thank you for telling me I-" "babe, I wondered where'd you'd gone!" Thomas reached for her arm, she flinched at his touch "you told me, you'd been arrested for gbh....not rape....I don't want you to come anywhere near me again, you disgusting excuse of a man, thank you Charlie for everything, I need to go!" She grabbed her bag and barged past Thomas, who went after her, I looked at mouse who smiled at me "come on, let's get back to our new home and give the neighbours a free concert, you're on the drums I'm on the guitar! I'm sure Alex won't mind us borrowing his game!" "That sounds great! I'm just nipping to the bathroom!" I picked up my bag and walked to the loo, as I was washing my hands Thomas came behind me and spun me around harshly "get, away from me!" "Now why did you tell her I raped you?" His hands were firmly on mine "because she deserved the truth you bastard" "you're going to be sorry you did that" he came close to my face, his breath hot against mine, but this time, I wasn't going down easy "sing" I smiled at him "what?" "Sing..." "Sing? Are you on drugs?" "No, but you'll need drugs when I'm through with you...SING Solar plexus, Instep, Nose, Groin" I hit him in all the places and watched as he dropped to the floor in agony, I turned back around to the mirror, fixed my hair and went to the door "what are you ninja?!" "No, it's miss congeniality bitch!" I walked out of the bathroom door just as the cleaner came by "excuse me, there's a big mess in the ladies, just a pre-warning, I smiled at him before walking back to mouse "what took so long?" He picked up the shopping bags "a mess needed sorting in the ladies...it's sorted, let's go babe"

That night, we were snuggled on the sofa watching something or other on Netflix when mouse brought out my list, scribbled down Miss congeniality and drew a line under it "there we go, a film added and completed!....nine more to go" "I look forward to it" I buried you head further into his chest as I yawned "come on, let's get off to bed, you're knackered, it's kicking his ass that must've warn you out" I sat up straight "what?!" "The way you stood up to him, telling her what he did was great!" "Oh! Yeah! Totally!" I stood up and walked towards the door "Charlie....what did you think I meant?" "Oh! Nothing! Nothing at all" I smiled at him as jumped up and came after me "Charlie?" He shouted after me as I ran up the stairs squealing like a little girl...

So sorry for the lack of update, I've had a lot of rubbish I've had to deal with, hence why this isn't the best Chapter, but it's an update, sorry for not being very regular, but will try my best!! Thanks for still reading though really do appreciate all of you
