"Did you bang Ms. O'Donovan?" was my first question to Sebastian as we walked.
I heard him clear his throat before answering "Yeah, like two days ago." Oh god. He did bang Ms. O'Donovan. I didn't feel disgusted by this information, but I didn't feel to happy about it either.
Sebastian was silent for a few minutes and I knew he was looking around for a distraction. He was trying to keep me from asking about his blackouts. I didn't have to read his mind to know that's what he was trying to do, but I don't want to ask him just yet. I know it's bothering him.
Instead, I smirked and looked up at the now orange and purple sky. People around us were either closing up shops, trying to control their little children, in houses, or just hanging around and talking. The sun was setting quite slowly and I could see the moon through some clouds."The sunset is nice." Sebastian said, finally finding an obvious distraction.
"Thanks Captain Obvious." I replied.
He rolled his eyes and continued to look around. Alright, I'll ask now."What's up with your blackouts?" I finally ask him. Suddenly, Sebastian stops walking and stares directly into my eyes, as if he's pleading me to not dig further into his situation. I'm not sure if he knows that I won't let up, or he knows and is trying to be the exception. I stop and stare into his eyes, as well.
People walk around us as we stare each down. Sebastian takes a step forward and almost raises a hand to my cheek, but I grab his wrist and force it back to his side. I hear the thoughts of those around me and they say: Lovers quarrel. Or something along those lines.
That's definitely not what's going on, but perspective is different for everyone.I pull him off of the sidewalk and into an alley.
"You're not gonna pull any of your demon voodoo bullshit on me" I whisper shout.
"It's not voodoo." Sebastian says as he prys my hand off of his wrist. I actually don't know what he does. but he does it. He stares into my eyes again and says "Emmaline, I really don't want to talk about this, so please drop it." His voice was calm and pleading. I don't know why he's so on the fence about this."What is up with your blackouts?" I ask again this time with more conjunction. He sighs in mild fustration, and for a split second I see his eyes turn red again. I take a semi-step back at this. He notices this gesture and puts his hand in his hair. He knows that I will not drop the subject.
"It's been happening ever since I was younger, but it's never happened when I was awake..." Sebastian looked to me shyly. I gestured him to continue.
"Until, you started hanging out with Ashy-knees-"
"Ashley." I cut him off.
He continued with a slight smirk. "It's gotten to the point that i'll be awake but can't remember what happened."
I nod and and pull him back onto the sidewalk. I can tell that he hasn't told me everything, but this is enough for now. We begin walking again."Is it a part of the whole demon thing?" I ask with a low voice.
"Probably." he replies. We walk in silence once more.

As we turn the corner on to the avenue I remember something he mentioned to me.
"How did you figure out the witch thing? I never told you, about that." I said. Sebastian gave me a side-glance before answering "Is that what I said when I blacked out?"
"More like went on demon mode, but yeah. You said I was a witch, because I smelled like one."
"Well your soul does smell different-"
"Wait." I stopped the both of us from walking further. "My soul."
"It's a demon perk. I can smell the souls of any and everyone around me, and you, my dear, smell different." Sebastian said, finally coming back to his regular personality.
"What's an incubus perk?" I ask him as I walk forward.
"This." he said before grabbing my hand and turning me to him. Before I could say anything he kisses me...
Wow.
All I felt was pure euphoria everywhere. All of my emotions af passion and affection were amplified to the max. Yet I felt a slight tugging sensation as I moved deeper into the kiss.
Sebastian pulled away as I motioned deeper into the kiss.
"How about that?" he asked me with a smirk on his face. I put both of my hands on his chest for support. I notice people staring and giggling, but I don't care.
"Wow. Just wow." It was all I could say. "That was like eating chocolate while riding a roller coaster." I chuckled. He continued smirking as he gestured to continue walking. "But I felt something else before you pulled away."
"I had to pull away, or I would start eating your sexual chi."
"My sex-what?" I said, confused. He laughed.
"I need to eat, you know." he said still smirking.
"But what is "sexual chi" professor Mara?" I asked him.
"It's tasty and it's basically energy. That's all i've gathered from what my mom has told me and experience.""That's a great explanation." I say sarcastically. He doesn't respond as we continued the stroll.

Before I knew it we were in front of my house. I knew my mom, David, and Penelope were home because the lights were on.
Sebastian walked in front of me and turned to face me. He still had the same smirk as he said "Well, we meet at the crossroads." I smiled noticing his little joke.
"What school do you go to?" I finally asked him.
"Pandora Academy." he blatantly answered.
"If you've ever wondered if White Light Academy sucks, spoilers it does." I said."I'll see you tomorrow, right? Emmaline." Sebastian said with a hint of slight worry. I wanted to ask him why he would be worried, but I heard the front door open...
"Hey, Sebastian." I recognized the voice as Penelope's. Sebastian took a step back and waved a goodbye to me and Penelope.
"Say "hi" to Lydia for me!" Penelope yelled after Sebastian. Lydia is Sebastian's mom, and a succubus. I hope she's doing well...As he walked down the block Penelope ushered me through the front door. All the dread that I had felt earlier was starting to come back, at full force.
Before I crossed the threshold into purgatory I took one last glance at the now fully visible moon, and the night sky.
At least that is beautiful...
