I was greeted by the sight of all four of them in my room.

Nerium was sitting with her long legs drawn up to her chest as she read some of my manga. Erna was juggling with some of my collectible figurines, which ticked me off a little bit. Claudia sat next to Nerium with her head on Nerium's shoulder while she slept, and Tristesse sat at my desk chair looking at me.

Before I said anything I quickly walked up to Erna and grabbed my figurines from her clutches. I only have the three...they are worth more than my life. The moment I got them to safety I asked "Were your guys just sitting in here the entire day?" Tristesse answered my question with a light nod before she stood up. Nerium started tapping Claudia to wake her up. While Erna looked as pissed as always. Seriously? The entire day?

"What if Penelope, my mom, or David saw any of you?" I asked them. "We have a way of dealing with witnesses." Erna said with an airy, yet strict tone. I sighed, and Nerium spoke. "Anyway that's not what we came for." I know what you came for, you don't have to remind me.

"I know. Let me think about it...sure." I said. Nerium, and Claudia both gave me a smile. Tristesse had a look of slight satisfaction in her eyes, but Erna gave a quick look of disappointment. "When are we gonna start this magic training?" I asked. "Right now." Claudia said, albeit groggily. What? What?!

"As in at this moment, right now?" I said slightly panicking.

"Yes." Tristesse said, matter-of-factly'.

"I can't just go, I need to talk to my mom, pack some clothes, tell Sebastian, oh and what about school-" my rant was cut off by Claudia putting a hand to my mouth. "I just woke up, and I have a headache so please try and not to be so 'talkative'." I hushed up after what Claudia said. I have the most respect for Claudia at the moment.

"Now about your little rant. We have everything covered." I was confused about what Nerium just said.

"We have packed some clothes for you, I had Nerium pose as your stepfather in order to pull you out of that wretched school, but you will have to tell your mother yourself. But you can bring that demon boy, he will prove useful." Tristesse said. How am I supposed to tell my mother, who's unconscious downstairs because she finally stood up for me, that I am leaving with four people that I barely know? I'm glad that I can bring Sebastian, but.....

"Why can't I bring my mom?" I asked Tristesse. "She will only get in the way." My mom? The one who gave birth to me? Get in the way?

"In the way of what?" I asked the French woman.

"She will only get herself injured, or killed, and than I will claim her soul. If she comes and she dies there is no bargaining for a resurrection." she said in a cold, scolding manner.
"That doesn't answer my question." I said pondering what Tristesse just said. I came to the conclusion that she was right. I couldn't bargain with death to defy death.

"She'll get in the way of our mission." I heard Erna say with a condescending tone.

Before I could ask about this 'mission' Nerium said "We'll tell you about the mission while we're on our way." She sounded like she was mildly frustrated.

Just her being frustrated was getting me frustrated. I walked to my bookbag, which was haphazardly thrown to the floor when I first walked into my room. I got a sheet of paper and wrote:

Dear, Mom...
This might be a bit sudden...alright a lot sudden, but I have to go. I have a chance to train myself properly. Don't take this to heart. It's not Penelope or David's fault. And it's definitely not your fault. Dad wouldn't have wanted me to not be able use even a drop of my magic correctly. None of the schools that you've put me in have helped. At the top of that list is White Light Academy. To be honest that place sucked. A lot. Trust my word that I will be back. Don't give this letter to Penelope, or David. Just keep it as our little secret. It's a mother and daughter thing, okay?
P.S. You were really awesome and badass today. I love you never forget that.

I started to tear up a bit as I finished writing the letter. I don't know why I wrote "Don't take this to heart" when I know that she will. She'll take it hard. I just hope she won't take it harder then when my father died....scratch that she will. I need to stop thinking about this.

I quickly put the letter on my desk, and grabbed the duffle bag that the four ladies had packed for me. I hope this is the good decision I'm making. Nerium, Erna, Claudia, Tristesse, and I all walked downstairs and through the wrecked kitchen. David and my mother were both still laying unconscious. Before we walked out of the house I walked to my mother, and for some reason I couldn't help but take some strands of her bright red hair. I just felt that it would be like a protective charm, or that I would need it someday. "This isn't weird, right?" I asked Nerium who had noticed my possibly creepy act. "Not at all." she responded.

That probably was really weird. I put the hair in my back pocket, and started walking next to Claudia.

"Are you sure you want to bring the demon?" she asked me with a side glance.

"This demon has a name, and his name is Sebastian."

The only response she gave was a slight nod.

"At least if I bring him along I can have a regular and familiar face around." I said pondering about bringing Sebastian.

"Alright, as long as you are fine with him coming along I suppose it's fine."

I nodded, and we all stopped at the street corner. The thoughts of everyone around me was still muffled, but now I realize the source of the suppression. The four Harbinger's that are right next to me, right now. Tristesse turned to me and said "Emmaline, do you want to go and fetch your demon friend?" I sighed at the lack of them saying, or most likely knowing, his name.

"Yes, and his name is Sebastian" I said, putting steely emphasis on his name.

"Alright. Take us to where Sebastian resides" she said his name like it was a foreign word that had just learned. Without saying anything I started walking towards Sebastian's place. I hope he doesn't get mad at me for wanting him to come along. He probably won't, but I don't doubt that he'll have a slight heart attack because I brought The Harbinger's to his domain. Are heart attacks even possible for demons?

I guess we'll find out soon enough since his place is just up the street...
