Ms. O'Donovan?

She's a witch?

I look to Sebastian, who doesn't seem that surprised.

"Did you know?!" I ask him in his ear. He nods. I slap his arm, and he feigns pain.

"You didn't bother to tell me?"

"You never asked so I never bothered to tell."

Why am I friends with this demon?

"Hello, Cynthia." Tristesse spoke as cooly as usual. Ms. O'Donovan bows in greeting to the death incarnate before facing me with the same smile she gave me whenever I walked into the town library. I gave a slight smile back in response.

"So, you're a witch?" I ask her, surprise evident in my tone.

"Yep. I knew something was weird about you when you first walked into the library, but I would have never guessed you were a witch."

"What did I seem like to you?"

"A quiet, cool-looking person, who is actually a giant dork."

She's one to talk. Yet she is also saying her true first impression.

"I am not a dork." I hurriedly say while I cross my arms around my chest. She only gave me a sarcastic eyeroll. I also noticed that Leviathan and Sebastian were staring at us intently. Before I could ask them for the reason for their starring, Ms. O'Donovan beat me to it.

"Why are you staring?" She spoke in a stern tone that I never knew she was capable of. Leviathan gave a smirk before pointing a finger towards her skirt. Sebastian looked like he was holding back his laughter. I follow Leviathan's finger and see that Ms. O'Donovan's skirt has been lifted up by her heavy messenger bag, and giving everyone in the room a back view of her sky blue polka-dot underwear. The brunette gave a quick gasp before quickly pulling down the skirt so that it was back to it's supposed original length. While blushing she spats "Why didn't anyone tell me while I was on my way here?" I didn't even notice until Leviathan pointed it out, but I would guess people didn't tell her because they were to busy gawking. Leviathan and Sebastian both start laughing and I give Sebastian the coldest glare I can muster. He shrugs while his laughing dies down into giggles. He walks up to Ms. O'Donovan and I. Leviathan follows suit.

"So, what's in the bag, Ms. Librarian?" Leviathan asks.

"Something that doesn't pertain to you, demon. I also have a name, it's Cynthia I would like all of you to call me that".

Ms. O'Donovan and Leviathan then have a short, yet intense, staring contest. Leviathan seems to get her silent message  and backs away. "Fine. See ya, Sebby and little witch." Leviathan says before disappearing and giving Sebastian a pat on the back. Sebastian furrows his eyebrows at the use of the nickname. Ms. O'Donovan gave a sigh and clapped her hands together getting the attention of the other females in the room, whom I forgot were still present.

"Now that he is gone let me show you what I have in this bag." She excitedly cheers. As she opened the bag, I could feel Sebastian lean onto my back as he tried to sneak a peek at whatever she was pulling out of the black, denim, messenger bag.  It was a book, a big book from what I could tell so far. Ms. O'Donovan walked to a nearby table and lugged out the ginormous book. It landed on the table with a resounding thud. "There." Ms. O'Donovan's brown eyes twinkled as she stared at the book. I glance at Sebastian who looks slightly disappointed, though I don't share his disappointment. I am thoroughly intrigued. I chance a glance at the other four in the room, and notice that they had left. When did they even leave?

I stride to the desk as I ask "What's this, Ms. O'Donovan?"

"Didn't I tell you to call me 'Cynthia', Emmaline." Ms. O-Cynthia chided.
