I wonder what Emmaline is doing?

I've been worried about her as of late. She's been coming to my house to visit me, and my mother, Lydia. She didn't tell me what happened between her and her family. Emmaline makes everything so complicated. I moved my long black bangs out of my eyes as I sat on my couch thinking.

"Hey, wanna makeout?" I heard my dear friend, Levi, say, as he appeared seemingly out of nowhere. His question immediately brought me out of the peaceful sanctuary that is my mind. "I would rather not. Why would you ask that anyway?" I asked him. He moved his dull pink, shoulder length hair out his intense brown eyes before answering "You looked like you were thinking real hard about something, or someone." He gave me a cheeky grin with that one. "Shut it, Leviathan." I said used his full first name. He gave me a crooked, unnatural smile at the use of his name. "You should try and watch your mouth, little bird. You don't know who could be listening." He spoke in a light, yet threatening tone.

Whatever. I hate it when he calls me 'little bird'. It's only because of who my father is that Leviathan is even my friend. Though I'll admit his presence is welcoming, despite being a giant demon fish-snake thing that usually resides in the oceans of Hell. Yes, Hell has oceans. It was a shocking discovery for me too. But here he was sitting in the armchair, looking like any other handsome adult that you'ld see as you walked down an avenue. He wore dark jeans, black dress shoes, a black vest over a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, and a cyan and phthalo blue striped tie. The tie was tied rather loosely around his neck. I still don't know why his hair is such a dull pink color when he favors the color blue. He could make his hair any color he wants, but he chose pink out of all of the colors.

I didn't really have a choice in my hair color. I was just born with it being a deep, raven black. Now here I am, an incubus pondering hair color. I am truly terrifying. Fear me.

"You're doing it again." Levi said, it's as if he's scorning me now.

"I'm doing what?"

"Doing that 'I am thinking about something' face. Frankly, it's aggravating me now. So please bring all of your attention to me." He added a smile to his last sentence. I, however, kept a poker-face.

"Maybe, I'll bring my attention to this lovely flowerpot instead." I smirked as I faced the bland flowerpot to my right.

His smile dropped and he sighed. "You truly are aggravating."

I smiled.

"Where is your mother again?" I told him literally five minutes ago.

"Upstairs...with a customer...." Just that word, itself, made me cringe. My mother, Lydia, works as a prostitute. I don't mind it though, but still... To know that your mother is being fucked nearly every night is just weird. "It shouldn't make you feel the wiggles, little birdy." It's so easy to forget that he was, in actuality, thousands of years old when he looks like a casual twenty-year-old.

"No one says 'wiggles', Levi." I said, facepalming at both the attempt of a catchphrase, and the nickname. It's honestly like telling an old man that he isn't that funny. He gave me a slight confused expression. "Wiggles shall become a 'thing'. I will make it so." I gave an even greater sigh.

Suddenly, I heard a knock at my front door. I glanced at the door and was about to yell for my mom to get the door, but I remembered that she was....busy. I looked at Levi who looked at me. "Are you gonna get that orrrr..." he said. Great, I guess I'll have to get the damn door. As I walked up to the door I noticed the familiar scent of Emmaline...along with four other foreign scents. Who could she have brought along? I opened the curtain covering the door window and saw Emmaline's familiar bright amber eyes, short, curly brown hair, and tannish skin. The people around her were the real oddities.
