What's Ulta?

Chapter Two

Ashley POV

*on the phone with Dylan*

"Hey Dylan wanna come to the mall with me so we can get Maria her birthday present considering it is tomorrow and we still don't have one for her?"

"Yeah sure. Do you mind if I bring Ari with us? I really don't want to leave her since I just got her."

"Yeah! No problem! Can you guys meet me there in about 20 minutes?"

"Yep! See ya soon Ash."

"Bye dylan."

*call ended*

Oh god what am I supposed to get her?! Ugh I'll find out in a little bit.

I soon pulled into the lot and parked right in front of Macy's. I found Dylan's car a few spots away and figured they were waiting for me inside. I walked in and looked around. I spotted them a few racks over and went over there.

"Hey! Where do you want to start? I think she would like some jewelry or make up."

"Yeah I think since its her 18th birthday we should spend more than usual on her. She deserves something special." Dylan explained.

"Yeah let's go!"

Our first stop was Victoria's Secret, but Dylan decided to stay outside of the store so just me and Ariana went in. We found a pair of lacy thongs with matching bras and thought they would do her good since she would be meeting her mate soon. We got them for her and walked out before we got to distracted and ended up spending more money on ourselves than on Maria.

"What do you guys got in there?" Dylan questioned, eyeing us suspiciously.

"Oh nothing much, just stuff for Maria." Ari and I said at the same time.

"Yeah sure lets go to Ulta next!" Ariana exclaimed making her way over to the store which was just across the way.

"Yeah c'mon! Lets go." I started running towards the store.

"Wait! What's Ulta?" Dylan asked me once he caught up.

"It's a makeup and hair product store."

As soon as we set foot in there Dylan groaned.

"Oh shut up Dyl. We're shopping for one of your best friends!"

"Ugh fine. I guess when you put it that way I can't say no can I?" Ari and I nodded out heads in agreement.

We searched around and finally went over to the mascara. We picked out a bunch of random ones just for fun and then went to eye shadow, eye liner, blush, foundation, etc. We ended up coming out of there with about at least $75 worth of stuff.

Next we headed over to our last destination found what we wanted, got it and left the mall before we bought any more things and considering it was almost 10 and the shops close soon.

Knowing it had to stay hidden we gave it to Ari for the night and decided to meet up again tomorrow to gather everything. We put them in charge of wrapping the gifts since most of them were from all of us but we each wrapped our own special gifts just from us.

The final gift couldn't be bought at a store. It had to be bought online.

Oh my god Maria is going to love my present! I can't wait to see the look on her face when she opens it! This is going to be so exciting! I was swelling up with anticipation, excitement, and I was just overwhelmed by a thousand kinds of emotions.

Maria POV

I had just finished watching the movie The Host with my sister and we decided to head home from the theatre.

"Oh my god I think that has to be one of the best movies I've ever seen!" I half squealed, half yelled.

"I know it was! I guess we know what we're getting right when it comes to DVD huh?" My sister Clara was driving my navy blue ford mustang. She was the one who took me to the movie knowing how much I wanted to see it.

"Yeah buddy! Haha I can't believe I'm going to be 18 tomorrow!"

"I can't believe it either little sis. You've grown up so fast! Next thing I know I'm going to be an aunty!"

Dang girl thinking ahead much?

"You bet I am!"

"Wait did I say that out loud?"

"Yep! You sure did little girl."

"Aw shit! Wait, I mean oh wow? That's interesting?"

"Yeah you best not say that around me!" Clara has always had a thing about me not swearing in front of her.

Damn she's always been so strict about that. It annoys her when I sing to songs in the car too! Well that's probably just because I don't try to actually sing. I have been told I have an amazing singing voice before though.

"Yes ma'am!" I said as I saluted jokingly.

Once we got home, I was told to go to bed cause I needed all the sleep I could get. Shifting for the first time takes a lot of energy out of you. I didn't argue one bit because I was so tired from school and having to wake up early.

I went changed into shorts and a tank top and went to lay in my bed. Since it was a king size bed I didn't even take up a quarter of it, but who cares!

I plopped myself down, snuggled up in all my blankets and pillows and in about a minute I was out like a light. I fell into a deep sleep that I so desperately needed.
