Chapter 12

MARIA POV

It was official now. I was engaged to Caden Peterson, my mate and the only one I loved.

We were heading back to the pack house. We were just taking our time getting back there holding hands, talking, and a few kisses inbetween. It took us 45minutes to get back and it had only taken us 10 in the car. It must have been how slow we were walking. The sky was starting to darken meaning the clouds got darker. When we finally got inside the pack house, it started raining. To be honest, I love the rain. I know I know since I'm basically part dog that I might not like rain but I guess I'm different then.

I glanced over at the clock and noticed it said it was 9:43 PM, so I decided to ask Caden if we could watch a movie then go to bed and sure enough he said yes. I walked into the movie room and started looking throuhg the movies. I picked out a few and decided to let Caden choose from them. I brought Caden over the 3 movies I had found. They were White Chicks, Ted, and The Women In Black. I secretly hoped he would pick The Women In Black because I loved that movie.

"Hmmm how about we watch The Women In Black?" He said.

"Sure lets do it!"

We went and made popcorn, got soda, and some candy from the kitchen. We were then ready to start the movie.

Once the movie finished we headed up to our room to go to sleep. It was around 11:45 that we got up to our room. We decided to shower seperatley to save time and so we didn't get sidetracked. Mainly so we didn't get sidetracked and waste our time. I slipped into one of Caden's t-shirts and it ended up looking like a dress on me! I really didn't care though because over-sized t-shirts were very comfortable. I inhaled his scent as I slipped it over my head. Damn he smelled good.

*The next morning*

CADEN POV

I had woken up before Maria so I decided to go and make her breakfast being the nice fiance I was. I went and put some pants and an underarmer shirt on so I wasn't in just my boxers. I headed down to the kitchen and got out the pancake batter. I started mixing the pancake batter together when I heard a voice coming from down the hall. I snuck down the hall and listened to the person talk without them knowing I was there. Yeah yeah I know people should know when I'm near because of the powerful vibe I send out but this person was too obsorbed in their conversation to notice. I just sat there quietly listening.

"Hey I heard you could help me." The voice I know recognized as Lindsey's said.

There was a pause and I figured the other person was talking.

"My name is Lindsey Mitchell. I need you to make my alpha's mate 'disappear', kidnap her."

Another pause.....

"Meet me at Coon Park just outside of my pack's territory tomorrow night. I'll give you more details then or I'll call you with them."

"Okay talk to you soon then. Bye Kale"

How dare she try and take away Maria from me! I need to get her phone and I need to tell Maria about this.

Lindsey walked out of her room and towards the bathroom. I took this as my chance to go get the phone. I walked into her room and grabbed her phone quickly. I got out of her room fast. I knew she wouldn't know I was there because her room reaked of over powering perfume and of course her sense of smell wasn't as keen as some of the wolves in my pack because she wasn't in a high powerful place, nor did she come from one. About 2 minutes later she came out and went into Mark's room. Mark was one of my fighters and he was good. I figured she wanted him, so she would be in there until she got what she wanted.
