Chapter 14

Caden POV

"Okay so now you know the main objectives, so now we put the whole plan together. I want 5 of you to go get Lindsey in about 30-40 minutes. That will help you process this whole situation. Bring her to the underground prison. Put her in a cage and I will be there to question her once we get Kale. I want the rest of you to come with me."

I led them out of the conference room and outside into the backyard where Kale was supposed I meet us the next night.

I had people check out the surrounding area to make sure no one was near us. Then I started giving the explanation.

"He is going to be on the edge of the woods here so I want to go get Gretchen to mask your guys' scents. Once they're masked I am going to have people in the trees and bushes. Some in the shed, some in the house, and I basically want this place surrounded but you can't let him know you're there. You will need to move if he goes your way and is going to walk into you, so this may be kind of difficult but I have faith in all of you. You can do it! Now let me go get Gretchen and then we will continue this. Thank you and you are dismissed for now."

I walked into my office. I was going to call Gretchen and have her come over. Gretchen is a witch but she is a good witch. Along with masking the scents of my pack members I will have her put a protection spell on Maria so she can't get hurt or taken. The spell basically protects her from anything and anyone who is not her mate. During the time that she's under the protection spell I am going to have her up in our room.

"Hello?" A kind voice answered.

"Hello Gretchen it's Caden. The alpha of the Black Stone Pack. I am in need of some assistance. Would you be willing to help me?"

"Sure Caden when do you want me to meet with you so we can go over details?"

"Does tonight work? And then you can stay in the pack house for the night so you can work your magic tomorrow?"

"Yeah that sounds great! I'll see you in 20 minutes."

"Okay thank you Gretchen. Bye now."

"Bye."

And call ended.

Well now all I have to do is wait for her to come.

"I AM COMING HOLD ON A MINUTE!" I hollered down the stairs.

*knock*

"SHUT UP"

"I'M HERE GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

I yanked open the door and saw Gretchen standing there.

"Really? You had to knock so many times?!"

"Yes yes I did. You weren't answering the door."

"Oh whatever lets go into my office so we can talk."

"Lead the way."

I led her up the stair, down the long hallway, and my office was the last door on the right. I opened the door and found Lindsey trying to "seduce me" again.

"Get the fuck out now!"

She sat with a shocked look on her face.

"But.... But.... But..."

"I said GET OUT! I will never want you we already established this! Leave Lindsey!"

She grumbled to herself and abruptly got out. God she pisses me off. Can she not take a hint?! They're not even hints, they're straight up statements.

"Sorry about that Gretchen. Now back to why I need your help. That person you just saw is the one that wants to get rid of my mate, so she hired a vampire to take her away from me. She believes that if Maria is not in my life that she will get the spot as Luna. We have arranged that the vampire is going to "meet Lindsey" here in our backyard tomorrow night around 10:15 pm. Now you may be wondering where you come in. Well I would like it if you could cast a few spells on my pack lands and a some of its members. Do you think you could help me?"

"Why of course! Just tell me what I need to do."

"Okay well could you mask the scent of my pack for that time and could you put a protection spell on Maria that protects her from anything and anyone that is not me, her mate?"

"Yeah that sounds like no problem!"

"Really? That's great! So you will be staying in a guest room that is not too far from here and we will discuss times tomorrow. Sound like a plan?"

"Sounds great!"

"Well then I'll show you to your room now."

We walked to her room and said our goodbyes/goodnights. I headed to my room now excited to see my mate. I opened the door and saw my beautiful mate laying peacefully on our bed the dark blue comforter covering her small frame.

I tiptoed over to the bathroom to take a quick shower then I was going to bed. When I got out of the shower I threw on a pair of boxers and got in the bed, wrapped my arms around Maria's waist, and pulled her close to me. She snuggled closer into me. This would be a good nights sleep tonight.
