The Meeting

Chapter Eight 

Maria POV

I turned over and saw my sexy mate laying next to me staring.

"Like what you see?" I asked him with a glint in my eye.

Caden only smirked and leaned over to kiss me. I pulled away first.

"Good!" I leaned over and pressed my lips to his again. I pulled away quickly though knowing we would get carried away fast. Caden was the first to speak.

"You ready for the pack meeting? It's in like an hour."

"Yeah, I just have to take my shower and get ready. I'm gonna go do that now." I said pointing to the bathroom.

"Can I join you in that shower?" He winked at me.

"Not a chance big boy. We'll get carried away and end up right back where we started."

"Ugh fine, but hurry! We can't be too late."

"No promises!" I yelled backward as I headed towards the bathroom and closed the door. I ended up taking a 30 minute shower. When I got out I went to our closet and started looking for the perfect outfit.

Eventually I found my clothes. I picked out a black lace shirt and I put a hot pink tank top underneath it. I threw on my dark blue skinny jeans and my outfit was ready. Wait, I need shoes. I ran back into my closet and searched for a pair. I found my blue converse shoes and quickly grabbed those.

Next thing I had to do was my hair and make up. I put on some mascara, eye liner, and gold eye shadow. I put my hair in a simple side braid. I looked in the mirrow at myself and I have to admit I looked amazing.

I walked out of the closet/bathroom, yes they're attached, and saw my mate sitting on our bed. He was wearing nothing but pants, so I could see his perfectly sculpted six pack. God he was perfect.

"Hey babe you ready to go? We need to be there in 10 minutes." Caden asked me while throwing on a shirt.

"Yeah let's go." I started to head towards the door and Caden caught up to me quickly. He laced our fingers together and opened the door for me. I led out of the room first with him following closely behind.

When we walk into the room where the meeting was being held, Alpha Peterson was just starting his speech. Caden and I decided to stay back until we were called to stage. The Alpha continued his speech once he had seen us.

"As you all know my son Caden will be taking over as the new Alpha soon and with being an Alpha you should have a Luna. Today we want to introduce you all to your soon to be Luna! Caden will you come up here and introduce us to your mate?"

Caden let go of my hand and started heading up towards his father telling me he would call me to the stage when it was time.

"Not many of you know this, but I have in fact found my mate. I would like to welcome her up here at this time! Everyone welcome your next Luna!" Caden faced towards me with a huge grin on his face.

I started heading up to join him when Lindsey jumped on stage. I kept walking though, but I picked up the pace.

"Baby I knew you were my mate!" Lindsey said while trying to kiss him. Key word trying.

"Ah hell no!" I screamed storming up the stairs towards her, "Caden is MY mate, not yours. Now get your filthy hands off of him before I break them myself!" A growl escaped from my lips and I'm sure almost everyone in the room knew how mad I was.

"Lindsey get off of the stage and leave! Caden's mate is Maria not you. It never was you or was going to be you," Alpha Peterson said backing me up.

"Lindsey leave NOW!" Caden told her and pointed to the door.

She let out a humph and stormed out. I went up to Caden and kissed him lightly on the lips. I laced our fingers together again.

"Everyone this is Maria, your next Luna! Many of you know her I'm sure, but just remember to treat her with respect. Keep in mind that she will be your next Luna. Thank you all for coming." Caden said proudly. Everybody started filing out of the room.

After everyone left Caden brought me up to our room again and we went to bed because we were both tired. It had been a big day for the both of us. I curled up next to him, enjoying his warmth and protection. One thing is for sure I am in love with this man and I will be forever.
