Lazy Ass and Birthday Surprises

Chapter Five

Maria POV

I looked in the mirror and saw my mark. It was beautiful. It was shaped as a half moon, so a crescent moon with a star in the curve of the moon. It was absolutely gorgeous. It went perfectly with my skin tone.

I heard another soft knock on the bathroom door and I yelled,

"Come on in Caden!"

I heard the door open slowly as if he was scared he would walk in on something. When he noticed I was just looking in the mirror the door opened faster.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" He said.

"It is."

"I know, just like you, it's gorgeous."

"Aw you're sweet, handsome."

"Thanks babe I know I am," Caden said with a wink, "Are you hungry? I could cook you something."

"Sure that would be great Caden! Just make sure you don't burn down the place. Hmm what can you make?"

"Well I can make just about anything. What do you want?"

"How about you make me eggs and pancakes?"

"Sure thing! Eggs and pancakes coming right up!"

"Okay, I'll be there in a little bit. I should probably get dressed first."

"Okay see you soon Maria. I love you."

"I love you too Caden."

And with that he went downstairs to the kitchen. He's so sweet and not to mention sexy. His six pack, toned muscles, body of a god... Ooh god yes! He was absolutely perfect.

I went to get clothes and was surprised to see that they were all my clothes from my house. They were already in my side of the closet. I shuffled through them finding a cute summer dress that was blue and white. It ended just above my knees.

I slipped it on and went to do my make up and curl my hair. I put on my normal make up, mascara, white eye shadow and eye liner. It looked perfect. My hair curled perfect today. They were perfect spirals, if that makes any sense.

When I finished I went downstairs to see my breakfast just finishing. It smelled so god damn good!

I sat down and waited. Caden came over to me with the food within the next two minutes. It looked absolutely delicious! I dug into it not worrying about what I looked like. I was starved! I scarfed it down in no time at all.

"Oh my god, that was absolutely delicious! I can't believe you can cook that well. You're definitely going to have to make me another meal sometime soon," I complimented Caden.

"Thank you, thank you," he replied with a slight bow.

"Hey don't you have to introduce me to the pack as their new Luna soon?"

"Yes we do. We are having a pack meeting tonight around 7 so it will be announced then. If you want today you can go hangout with your friends."

"Okay I will! I'm going to leave soon then."

"Okay have fun Maria!"

"I will see you later Caden! I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart."

*texts Ashley*

Me: hey wanna hangout today? As a group?

Ash: sure! Meet us at my house in 30 minutes?

Me: sure! No problem see you then

*end of conversation*

"Hey Caden?"

"Yeah Hun?"

"Can I tell Ashley, Dylan, and the rest of my friends that we're mates?"

"Yeah, but don't let them tell everyone!"

"Okay I won't! Thank you."

"Yep now go have fun see you later."

"Yeah yeah bye, I'm going to miss you."

"Im going to miss you too! Bye."

"Wait Caden! Can I drive your truck? I don't wanna go home and get my car."

"Yeah go ahead!"

"Okay thanks!"

I went out to the garage and got in his black ford pickup. I loved it! I drove over to Ashley's house and parked his truck.

I headed inside and saw everyone already there!

"Happy late birthday Maria!!!" They all screamed in unison.

"Thanks guys!"

Dylan spoke next.

"Hey why did you drive a truck here and not your car?"

"I was too lazy to get my car." I said shrugging it off.

Ashley commented next.

"Oh my god that looks like Caden's truck! Why the hell do you have a truck like Caden's?"

"Um because it may or may not be his?"

"Wait what? Why do you have his truck?" Ashley continued asking me questions.

"I never went home yesterday."

I decided to let them figure it out on their own. Hopefully it wouldn't take long. By the confused looks on their faces it might take a little while though.

"What why?!"

"I didn't really feel like it. I stayed in the pack house."

I was surprised they hadn't noticed my mark yet.

"I just realized I haven't gotten my birthday hug from Dylan yet! Dylan get your lazy ass over here!" I yelled, changing the subject.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Dylan said as he jumped off of the couch. It looked like he hasn't moved in ages. He really was a lazy ass sometimes.

He rushed over to me and practically squished the life out of me. I heard a growl come from behind me. A sexy growl at that.

Dylan quickly let go of me realizing who it was. What was he doing here! Well who cares I missed him too much!

"Oh my god I just figured everything out! Why didn't you tell us?"

Damn Ashley was loud.

"I figured you would've already figured it out. My hair doesn't hide anything." I replied laughing slightly. I pushed my hair out of the way of my mark.

Once I did that she came over, moved my hair some more, and started squealing.

"Yeah yeah I get the point! Stop squealing girl!" I told her. She was right in my ear, so it was kind of loud,

By now I had Caden protectively holding me by my waist against him. I would feel every muscle in and on his chest. It was really calming actually.

"Okay I will stop now. It's time for your birthday celebration, cake, and presents!"

"Where are we going this year?" I was asking while being pushed out the front door.

"It's a surprise! Don't worry though, I know you'll love it."
