Chapter 35: Daring Cards.

Luke and I just had breakfast and we were off to explore what's left of London before heading to pretty Prague. Madame Tussauds museum. I fangirled over some artists like Justin Timberlake and Johnny Depp, great people. As for Luke, he was literally drooling over Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez's wax figures, "Luke they are not real.", I told him, "You fangirled over Justin Timberlake, let me have my moment.", he said as he hugged Beyoncé's figure, "Yea but at least I didn't touch it like you did.", I teased, "Just take the damn picture Rebs.", he hugged, grabbed waists, and even kissed the two figures, "You silly goofball.", I told him, "Why thank you.", he winked.

After Madame Tussauds we headed to Trafalgar Square, I love that place. Luke held another photoshoot with me, we even fed the birds there and it didn't go too well with Luke, "This is the last time I come near a bird.", he said as he cleaned himself off of the feathers, the pigeons just flew away on top of him as he was feeding them, it was hilarious, good thing no one saw it, "Don't be so down about it Luke.", I told him. "Where to next ?", he asked, "My favorite place out of all London, Hyde Park.", I told him, "Lovely.", he said.

It was nearly sunset now. We had some snacks with us and a couple of games to keep ourselves busy with. "What else did you buy ?", I asked Luke, "Well, I got this card game, its the first time I've seen it, might as well try it.", he retorted. He opened the small box and he laid out the stack of cards aside and read the instructions out loud for me, "Daring Cards.", he began, "Played by 2 or more people. Each card has a dare or a question, you must do the dare or answer the question, you cannot change the dare or the question. Warning: some slightly inappropriate dares and questions.", he finished, "Seems interesting.", I told him, "You want to play it ?", he asked, "Sure, why not, lets take some risks.", I told him, "Ladies first.", he said, I drew out the card and I read the question to him, "What would you do if you could see one day into the future ?", I asked, he smiled, he went silent, he pursed his lips and looked to the ground, "I don't really know.", he chuckled, "I'll take that as a proper answer.", I told him. Then he drew out a card, "Would you abandon your best friends for 1 million dollars ?", he asked, "I'm already rich so I don't think so.", I flipped my hair jokingly, he chuckled, "Your turn.", he told me.

It went on for like 30 minutes and it was hilarious, then I drew out a dare, the first dare to be drawn out in this game and its a very interesting one, I smirked at it and scoffed, "Its something evil isn't it ?", Luke asked, "Oh, this one is good.", I told him, "Hit me.", he said, "Sing a clip of your favorite Disney song at the top of your lungs.", I smirked, "Oh my God.", he smiled, "Come on, its a must that you do it!", I insisted, he sighed, "Fine.", he smiled, took a breath in, cleared his throat, "So prepare for the coup of the century! Be prepared for the murkiest scam! Meticulous planning! Tenacity spanning, decades of denial is simply why I'll be king undisputed, respected saluted, and seen for the wonder I am! Yes my teeth and ambitions are bared, be prepaaaaared! ", he drew some attention to us and I just laughed at it while recording it, "Wow, you should have been cast in that movie instead.", I teased, "They don't appreciate talents.", he scoffed jokingly, he drew out his card and read the next question or dare, "This is a good one.", he began, "Exchange a clothing item with the person next to you.", he said, "There's only you.", I told him, "Lets switch something Rebs.", he said, I sighed and we both took off our coats. I wore his and he wore mine, it was hard for him to fit into mine, "Be careful with that Luke, its my favorite coat.", I told him, "No worries.", he adjusted himself in it eventually and we carried on. "My turn.", I drew out a card and I knew from the moment I would read this, things were going to get good, "Play the next round shirtless.", I told Luke as I burst into laughter, "Are you kidding me ? Its freezing here.", he said, "You must do it Lukey.", I told him, "Fine.", he took off my coat, and his flannel, then his shirt and he sat down, "If I get sick its your fault.", he teased, "I'll take the blame for that.", I smiled, he drew out his card, "Oh.", he said, "Well this is going to be awkward.", his face turned this bright red color, "Something embarrassing is coming up right ?" I asked, "I'll do it, hit me.", I told him, he sighed, "30 seconds...", he faded, "Luke what is it ? Its fine, I'll do it.", I told him, he turned red again, "30 seconds make-out session with the person daring.", he said, I think I turned as red as he Luke did and maybe even worse, we went silent, "If you don't want to do it, its fine, I can draw another card.", he said, "No I'll do it, its a must.", what am I doing ? "You don't have to consider it a first kiss, don't worry.", he said, "Lets just get this over with.", I told him, "Okay.", he said, he got closer and we were just inches apart. Our lips were like 0.5 inches apart now and we just froze until he leaned in for it.

I mentally counted 30 seconds and he pulled away before I do. His face went all red again, so did mine, and with the sunset right now we probably looked redder than tomatoes. "Lets go back to the hotel.", he put his clothes back on and we took our coats back and we walked to the hotel.

And the same routine happens. I try sleeping in my own bed but I can't. I don't want to wake Luke up and disturb him with my constant overthinking about anything I am in denial of but I just can't help it. I went to the small living room-like part of our hotel room and I just lay on the couch, covered up, and watching some T.V, and God knows, maybe it will help me fall asleep.

"Rebs.", I was shaken gently, "Rebs wake up.", I was shaken again, "Rebecca.", I was shaken a bit more roughly now, I blink a few times before the image of Luke adjusts before me. I groaned, "What is it ?", I asked, "We have a plane to catch to Prague by noon, you ready ?", he asked, "Yea, I'll just get dressed right now.", I told him, I sat up and I ran my hand through my hair, "How much sleep did you get ?", he asked, "Why are you asking ?", I asked back, "You look really tired.", he pointed out, I looked away, he sighed lightly, "Overthinking again Rebs ?", he asked, "I can't help it Luke, something is on mind and I don't know how to let it out. I can't sleep in my own bed and I have to distract myself either by sleeping next to you or doing something else. I don't know what else to do.", I admitted, "Its okay, we'll figure it out together later, just get ready now.", he said, I nodded and I took out my clothes and got ready.

I felt bad for her, she can't sleep even though its a vacation and I can't do anything about it except keep her company in her sleep. "Now, what seems to be bothering you ?", I asked her, we were on the plane right now on the way to Prague, "I don't know Luke, its been going on for a while and I can't seem to be,", she yawned in the middle, "Sorry, I can't seem to be able to rid my thoughts of it.", she said, "Look who's being the psychologist now.", she joked, even when she looks sleep-deprived and tired she still manages to make me fall for her even more, I chuckled at her, "I don't think now is the right time to joke or talk Rebs, just try and sleep for now, you need it.", I told her, "You're forgetting I can't sleep Luke.", she reminded, "I don't know if this will help but, try resting on my shoulder, see if it helps.", I told her, good thing its a business class and its almost empty, I grabbed hold of her cold hand and she rest her head on my shoulder and she dozed off.
