Chapter 47: Walls Up.

So turns out Raiden had proposed to Peyton last week, they didn't want to tell me just yet since I had some other things on my mind. And they rushed things. They wanted to get married the week after, which is today. I'm not complaining about it, on the contrary, I am happy he and Peyton are able to make such commitment, I was just shocked since I only knew last week. And I happened to be the bride's maid along with Emily and 3 other girls who were friends of ours too, only I don't have a partner like Emily does, she goes down with Race. "Can you guys tell me who is escorting me down the isle or do I have to be the ring girl along with James and Olivia ?", I asked them as I got ready, Olivia is Peyton's neice, "You'll know when they get here, now calm down.", Emily told me. The boys didn't arrive at the church yet, they were still finishing up some things. I sighed and I continued to play with my hair. The dress was yellow, long and strapless, it was really pretty, I didn't know Raiden could pick such dresses with Peyton.

"Girls, are you ready ?", my mother asked, everyone was outside already and she was just doing a final check up on the girls, "Yea, we're ready Mrs. Forde, time to get our escorts Rebecca.", Emily grabbed me by the hand and we walked down the hallway just before the entrance to the isle. "Which one is mine ?", I asked Emily, "He is.", she pointed to the guy standing in the corner with Race, I only saw his back, "Race!", Emily called as we approached them, the guy turned around and I felt all the wildness of this world gathered up in my guts, it dropped. "Rebecca.", he said, "Luke.", I was wide-eyed, and he was blushing weirdly, "Ladies, gentlemen, we have seconds before the bride walks down this isle, so make it smooth and quick.", the organizer told us, James and Olivia walked out first, James and Olivia. Race and Emily were going after them, then it was Luke and I. And it was dead silent between us. All that we could hear was the piano playing as it was our turn to walk down together. It felt very weird, my heart beat was racing and I swear every person in this room can hear my heart beats loud and clear. I tried steadying my breathing so I wouldn't sound like I'm choking. This is crazy, they set it all up.

Beautiful, is the first word that came to my mind when I saw Rebecca, I thought she would storm out of the place or snap at me or something but she seemed okay with it, and she seemed tensed. I look at her from where I'm standing I just can't stop staring, her hair is up in this royal-ish ponytail, she looks taller thanks to the heels Raiden's soon-to-be wife who made her wear it to match the other bride's maids heights. I'm not going to say she looks fat, she never did, only a week ago she looked like she could fit in baby clothes, they fed her well. Her body is back to its slender, perfect nature. But that's not what attracts me to her. God, I miss her so much.

The vows and the I do's were over, time for the reception now. It was at a garden not too far from the church the wedding was held in. "Lucas, get up, its the bride's maids and the groom's men dance with the newly weds.", Race said, "I don't think she would want to dance with me Race.", I told him, "Get up Lucas, of course she wants to dance with you.", he pulled by the arm and I saw his wife drag Rebecca to me, "Have fun you two.", Race told us and he and his wife paired up next to us and around the Raiden and his new wife. Rebecca and I look at each other and she has this nervousness in her eyes, sure it might be good when I make her feel nervous but not this kind of nervous, this nervous sucks. "How are you feeling ?", I whispered to her, she went silent for a second, "I'm okay now, I guess.", she said, I looked around for a minute, "There's a court going to be held after you get back to New York.", I whispered again, "Why ?", she asked, "Kelsey, Riley, and Andrea demanded a court held against Scott, Jennifer, Daniel, and Lance for kidnapping and the attempt of rape.", I told her, "I don't have anything prepared for this.", she admitted, "Andrea has everything set already, she will be the one representing you.", I told her, she went silent after that, "Andrea was supposed to tell you but you never answered her texts, all the details are in her text.", I added.

The wedding was over, everyone headed home, others went back, changed their formal attire and partied outside as another celebration. And I had to attend it, and so did Rebecca. We were at this bar, they were all drinking and Rebecca just sat in the corner playing with her fingers beneath the table, she obviously got irritated because she was headed outside now. I followed her minutes later.

She leaned against a light pole just watching cars pass by. she sighed, "Why are you here Luke ?", she turned around to face me, "I'm worried about you.", I admitted, she sighed again and continued watching the street, she became more insecure thanks to Mr. Christian Grey and Ms. Cheater-Girlfriend. "Just listen to me for minute would you ?", I asked, she kept silent, she sighed, "I know Scott and Jennifer ruined you, they made you live 2 weeks of hell, they brought up the walls you were putting down all over again, they're the ones you should be hating not every other person who stands a few meters away from you. I couldn't believe you were finally caving in, getting comforted around me where you would cuddle into me and lean in for a cheek-kiss and whatnot.", I began, "And God, did I have every privilege to be the first to see that side of you.", I smiled lightly and scoffed, "Please come back Rebs. Come back to me.", I pleaded, she looks at me and she is on the verge of tears right now for whatever reason there is, "I'm so sorry Luke.", her voice cracked, great. she turned around and I walked to the direction of her house. How perfect.

Writer's Note: Chapter 47! Sorry for the delay. Rebs up there :p Here's a little something, I am travelling on Wednesday to get my ID done, (16 ya'll :3) and I might not have all the wifi I need to finish this story, this story doesn't end at Chapter 50, there's like 8 chapters more according to my brainstorm. So, no wifi for 2 weeks while I finish my ID, then a third week in Dubai! That means no stories at all for a week :P Hopefully I'll get wifi for the next 2 weeks until I get back with a new story.
