Chapter 53: Batman and Robin.

I was on the way to work from a nearby café just down the road, a few blocks away from my building. I was getting this chocolate moose cake, a sandwich, and a juice. The girl who works there already memorized my looks, where I work, and what I order every time, she is a very sweet girl, her name is Tiffany.

I left the shop and I was halfway to my work on my phone until I bump into two shoulders, "Hello Rebecca.", Jennifer smirked, she held Scott's hand and he was smirking too, but that's not what caught my attention. What caught my attention was the bump projecting from her bronze, skin-tight dress, it looked like 5 months, I raised both my eyebrows, "Oh, this ? You like the creation this beast did ?", she pointed to Scott who was so full of pride, I rolled my eyes, "What do you want Jennifer ?", I asked, "Is that how you treat your best friend ?", she acted so innocent with an evil expression, "Leave her alone.", two familiar people shouted, one jolted forward pushing Scott, it was Jackson. The other person pulled me back and kept a gentle grip on my shoulders, I look up and I see Luke, but he seemed concentrated on the trio who are about to argue before us. "Oh look, its Batman and Robin.", Scott teased, "I thought the law forbid you both from coming near her.", Jackson had a look of anger that I never saw, his gaze traveled to Jennifer's obvious baby bump, his eyebrows rose up too, "That's right kid, my flesh and blood is growing in there.", Scott smirked, "That's right Jacky, you thought I was joking when I told you he was ten times better than you were in doing the intense dirty ? Rough and intense, unlike your nice side, too sweet and too gentle.", she pouted her lips at him, Jackson tightened his fist and a girl with medium-length black hair grabbed Jackson's hand, "Jackson, lets just leave.", she told him, "You found a replacement so quickly ?", Jennifer asked, "Unlike your ignorant side, she is sweet, gentle, and caring. And loyal.", Jackson tightened his hold on the girl's hand, "Don't come near Rebecca again.", Luke said, and he wasn't requesting it, he was demanding it, "We'll get back at you Rebecca, you'll see.", Scott said, I raised an eyebrow and I released myself from Luke, moved Jackson and the girl aside and stood in front of Scott and Jennifer, "What are you going to do Scott ?", I asked, this side of me was not unleashed in so long, and I am known to be very daring and risk-taking, "You do one more thing to me and I complain about, I can have you both sentenced for life imprisonment and that child taken away from you.", I saw fear crawl its way into their eyes and minds, "That's right, at least that baby can grow up without knowing his mother was a psychotic freak obsessed with other people's misery and his dad was a rapist.", I pushed them both aside and I continued walking back to my work. "Rebecca!", someone called, I turn around and its Luke and Jackson, I stopped on the sidewalk until they came up to me, "You okay ?", Jackson asked, "Yea, I'm great.", I nodded and I managed a smile, I didn't look at Luke, more like I could look at him, I haven't talked to him in months and its seriously tearing me apart, "Good.", Jackson nodded, "Oh, this is Robyn Griffith, my girlfriend.", he introduced, "Robyn, this is a good friend of mine, Rebecca Forde.", he added, "I've heard good things about you, its nice to finally meet you.", she shook my hand, "Nice to meet you too Robyn.", I smiled at her, her hair was midnight black, medium length, her eyes were stone-grey, pale skin-tone, my height, and she seems sweet, "Well, I better get going guys.", I told them and I left to my building.

I got back home only to get a message from a medical company inviting me to attend their opening in Paris this weekend, its Lacey Evan's company. I can only get 2 people along but who do I have ? The Big 5 companies are already going since we were on good terms with the CEO of the company, she's planning a franchise in Europe now. Then I got an idea, since its almost winter break, and work is starting to get less now since the companies in New York are too busy for Christmas shopping, I booked a ticket right now to Paris, why not spend the week there until the opening party ? I'll then head to California for Christmas and I'll head back to New York.

I couldn't believe its been a year since something happened in my life. Luke came back, I fought the girls and reconciled later, Scott attempted rape 3 times, Jennifer turned against me, everything changed so much. When I said I wanted to something interesting to enter my life I didn't mean a disastrous entrance, more like something good to happen. But we have to make the best out of everything, right ?

Writer's Note: chapter 53! Beautiful Emily Browning as Rebecca Forde up there. Guys, I'm sorry if I'm rushing things right now, I'm traveling tomorrow morning and there's 2 more chapters to , and I won't have a strong wifi after tomorrow 6 pm my timing, so I'm trying to finish this story tonight.
