Slience had spread through the house like the Black Plague.
The three of us just sat there in the deathly quietness. Henry had his head down at the desk as I gazed at the floor like it was the most interesting thing in the world. Raphael was staring too except at his hands.
I looked up from the floor and glanced around the room, it was a catastrophe. Papers laid everywhere, there was more books on the floor then in their spots on the book shelves and our failed paper airplanes were scattered around the room, adding to the huge mess.
Just as I thought about getting up and cleaning the room before Zac came, Raphael broke the deadly silence.
"Dad, what actually happen after mum was scratched?" He asked.
I had forgotten about that question.
Henry looked from his desk. I knew it was no mistake as he looked straight into my grey eyes. The room began to smudge together as I locked eyes with Henry. The history of those two years began to flash through his eyes and into mine. Quickly the memory emerged around me.

Her screams echoed around her. The rouge wolf had ran off back to the woods. Henry turned back to his wife who was now on the ground.
He smiled at her while gently picking her up. He carried her inside and laid her down on to their bed.
Henry had just become sober and soon his head bounded with a huge headache. He was slowly coming back to his senses when another scream sounded out of his mates mouth.
He spun around and gazed at her.
She was ghostly pale and her breathing was staggered. Her eyes were shut and she was clutching her scratches. Her beautiful body began to relax as she fell asleep. Henry let out a sigh of relief and crawled into bed next to her. He wrapped his arms gently around his wife's frail body in protection as he also fell asleep.
Henry awoke to Patricia's soft pants of breath as she tried to lift herself into a sitting position. He placed a careful hand on Patricia's chest and pushed her back down.
"I'm so sorry for all this, pat, I-I should have protected you better..." He sagged his head in shame of what he did to his mate.
"It's ok Henry, you didn't know what was going to happen. Now help me up I want to go and make some breakfast." She replied with a smile.
'That's the usual Patricia, a woman who is strict but always manages to wear a smile even when things are in doubt, she is a very strong woman.' Henry said in his head to his wolf.
'Yes, that is why she was chosen to be our beloved mate.' His wolf replied.
Henry got out if the king-sized bed and walked over to his mates side. He grasped her hand calmly and slowly pulled her up off the mattress.
She screamed in agony as she fell heavily to the carpet floor. She was ripping at her chest with her pale, bony fingers. Henry worriedly crouched down next to her and lifted her chin.
Her cheeks were soaked in tears which were still falling from her perfect green eyes.
"Dad, what's wrong with mum?" Little Raphael asked stepping into the room.
"She's not feeling to well today, Raphael, that's all. Raph can you please go to the kitchen?" Henry told his young son. Raph ran off out of the room leaving Henry and his wife alone.
"Are you ok, pat?" The alpha asked trying to stop his voice from trembling.
"I'm fine, I just think I might need to give the pack doctor a bit of a visit that is all." She let out a long breath and tried to stand up again, she succeed.
