Genevieve's POV

"The old third in command you say?"

"Yeah, I found that out via his family when they were here." Sophia replied to me.

"Raph." I beckoned.

"Yep?"

"Find some of your father's old records, look through the previous alphas and their third in commands." I began to take lead.

"The roles of alpha, beta and third in command usually travel down the family lines the only time that changes is when the alpha doesn't chose their own blood to carry the title. Evie, we need to go back in time." Zac said the last part specifically to me, he wants me to reveal the truth.

"Take me to him."

He was prisoner in the silver cage that I was held in when I came to face the witch. It was very dark down there. The prison was on the third level underground. It took us three flights of stairs. Walking down there made me feel like I was entering an old era of time, like back in the medieval era, with stone walls and fire torches.

It didn't take Zac and I long to venture down there.

"Zac I'm okay, I can be down here by myself. I don't need you to follow me around like a ghost it is possible that I can protect myself.." I whispered to him as we began to approach the level.

"I trust that you can Evie, but I don't trust him." He replied.

"Promise me you'll wait by the stairs, I need to do this with just me and him. It works better that way."

"Fine..." He agreed with a sigh before sealing the promise with a brief kiss and letting me continue into the dark room alone.

"Good afternoon, if it still indeed is, I can't tell in here." The father's voice echoed from the cage.

My mind began to go blank...

'What the hell do I say to him? How do I go about this?' I began to ask myself.

'Just say something!' Katherine pressed.

"For someone who has lost their family you seem awfully okay with being in a cage." I replied.

'Noting the reality works..' Katherine approved although somewhat surprised.

"Let just say we all have our secrets." He replied looking up at me so I could finally see his face.

"And your name shouldn't be one of them."

"You want my name? Alright then... My name is Richard, Richard Reven. The proud father of two children and a humble husband to a-"

"An abused wife." I cut him off. "So Richard, what's your story? A run away father who threatened his family to do his bidding so he could hide in pack grounds and find a way into the Pack house to only abuse the friendly nature of this pack? Or is this just an incorrect judgement of your actions?" I lent forward a little keeping my tone clear and precise.

"That's not true." He stated.

"The bruises on your wife's neck? That's not true? The terror in your daughter's eyes? That's not true. The seeping blackness around your eyes is not really happening?" I paused.

'Blackness in his wolf's coat.' I heard Zac link to me.

"What about the blackness that's ever so slowly spreading through your wolf's coat." I smirked as I watch him launch forward.
