Chapter 17- Emily... Part 2

Raphael POV

I sat on the couch my mate in my arms. I could live my whole life like this. I left out a happy sigh.

"I like this..." Sophia whispered to me.

"I do too." I smiled back.

My smile disappeared when I heard a crash out side. My first thought was my dad but then I remembered he had left for business.

"What was that?" My dear mate asked quietly.

"I don't know.. Stay here, I don't want you to get hurt." She nodded her gentle head.

I stood up placing Sophia back down on the couch and left the room closing the door behind me.

I walked around the house to the front door and slipped outside making sure the person I heard didn't hear me.

"Shit!" I heard a girl curse.

I followed the sound and peeked around the corner to see someone I most didn't want to see...

Emily POV

My wolf was going crazy as I watched Raph snuggle Sophia closer to him.

She growled and almost took control. I fell over from the force of my wolf and crashed into the rubbish bin next to me.

I quickly stood up from where I fell and regained myself. I glanced through the window and saw Raphael was gone...

"Shit!" I cursed.

I spun around to run away but I smelt it, I smelt him. Half of me was smirking and other half was on the verge of running the other way. Raphael was like his father with his personality if anyone knew that it was me. Raph isn't one to mess around or put down a challenge, he's an alpha no doubt about that.

"Ahh... Hey Raph I was just coming to see you, I just went for a run and decided to come in this ah way." I lied failing badly.

'Nice cover up...'my wolf commented lamely.

'Shut up!' I replied to her.

"Oh, um cool. Well, come on in." He gestured in the direction of the front door.

'He's not buying it...' My wolf added.

'Shhh!' I grumbled.

"Cool thanks." I replied walking that way.

He followed behind me. I could feel the alpha aura pulsating off him, it was surprisingly strong. What the heck happen, his never felt the powerful.

We walked out from around the corner and I saw alpha Henry was gone from his car.

'When the cats away the mice come and play...' I said in my head.

We entered the house and Raph lead me into the meeting room. I guessed he would have brought me into the office if he was alpha but he wasn't. He directed me to a seat across the table from where he was planning on sitting.

"No need to be so formal, Raph." I told him.

"What do you want Emily?" He almost groaned. Why was he almost groaning, he should be happy to see me.

"Don't give me that tone of voice, Raphael-" I started.

"Don't you dare tell me how not to address you Emily, your not my mother and never will be. Now I would like- no i want you to tell me what you need otherwise you can be on your way." He used his alpha tone.

'I can't believe he actually used his tone on me, what the hell has gotten into him?!' I told my wolf and she growled.

I couldn't go against an alpha demand, unfortunately so I let out a sigh of failure.
