Genevieve's POV

The area around the pack is massive and we are going to need some luck if we are to cover all of the perimeter while also having some people stay back to protect the hospital. At least now that I am the book we don't have to worry about protecting it.

'Alright guys I think I may have a good enough plan can you three make it back here for a quick once over before we share it to the rest of the pack?' I linked to Sophia and the boys.

'I'll be there in a little bit Genevieve' Soph replied.

'We've just got a few more things to help out with here but then we'll be on our way give us like another half hour Evie.' Zac spoke for the two of them.

I put the pen down and swung around on the chair for a little to try and pass the time. Eventually I reached out to the desk phone and called my home phone number hoping to God that Dad answered.

"Hello?" a voice answered.

"Hi this is Genevieve Somers is Joseph there?"

"Joseph Somers? I have Walter here, but Joseph hasn't lived here for quite a few years." They replied.

"Who is this I'm speaking with?" I questioned.

"This is Mark, I'm room-mates with Walter. Would you like me to put Walter on the phone? I'll just have to go get him from the shed that's all."

"If you could that would be great thanks." I was only waiting a few minutes however the constant static in my ear was starting to drive me nuts.

"Hello Walter here." He breathed.

"Hey Uncle Walter it's Genevieve, do you know where Dad is?" I asked in hope.

"Um, last I heard you mother and father were there in the pack house with you." He sounded worried.

I couldn't think of anything to reply with, whatever I replied with was going to be a lie if I tried to reassure him...

The static burned in my ear.

"Look Genevieve don't worry I'm sure he's fine okay? I'll be right there in a sec okay don't go anywhere we'll find him." He replied to the silence then hung up.

I sighed and put the phone back in its holster. Mother has been dealt with and isn't going to bother me anymore, but my father... He's only human he's not supernatural at all, he could be in big danger.

Standing up I walked around the room admiring the old books hidden behind the glass doors that surrounded just about every side of the sound proof room. I opened the doors a few times just to take in that smell, that historic rusty unique smell I'd always loved. It reminded me of my favourite book that I had when I was growing up, it was called 'The Epic of Hades' a book of verse from the 1870s. It was full of poems around the different ancient Greek stories.
