Chapter 20- Forgotten accidents

Raphael's POV

My heart was beating like crazy. I could hear it pounding loudly in my ears. I awaited the few words which I knew were true from the look of his motionless body, but I knew that if their were said I wouldn't be able to handle it.

Zac knelt over my fathers body, his tanned hand gliding around the older mans neck.

I could feel the aura of alpha evaporate off of the quickly paling body.

Tears were prickling my eyes as Zac looked up to Genevieve. He shook his head slightly, confirming what I was dreading.

"He's gone..." He said quietly.

"No... No! He, he can't be. He wouldn't do this to me!" My voice rose and wavered as I raced forwards just dodging the red headed girls arm.

"Raphael-" she started.

"No. This is all my fault! Dad! No, please come back... Please" I couldn't hold my sobs back any further. "P-please."

My whole body shook as my cheeks were soaked in salty tears.

My beta placed a hand on my shoulder. I turned to him, my eyes red and swollen. I had never cried this much in my life, not even for my own mother.

"Raph, his off to a better place now." He's voice was soft and apologetic.

I didn't want apologies.

'I don't want anything but my father!' I growled inside.

'Yes! I knew you had a dark side.' I felt my wolf smirk.

I growled out loud and I felt Zac take his arm off of my shoulder. His reaction gave me a feeling of satisfaction. I just sat there my father in front of me as Genevieve left the kitchen.

'No one touches him but me or Genevieve, ok?!' I told my wolf.

He laughed, leahpar was enjoying this too much. 'Anything for you blondie.'

I knew I was giving him to much control over me and I knew my eyes would be glowing brightly.

Genevieve POV

I tried to walk out quietly so I wouldn't startle Raphael and make him shift.

'You need to find, Sophia, s-she's the only one w-who can calm, him down, Hun.' Katherine sounded like she was sobbing.

'Katherine what's wrong?' I asked quite curious as to why Henry's death had such a big effect on her.

'Its Dan- I mean, it's Henry.' She replied making me feel really sad because of her being my wolf.

'What about Henry, Katherine?' I edged her to continue.

'Genevieve, Hun, in my old life my family were all over the place. My father was king, my mother queen and I had a younger brother. I ran away from home and found Percy. My mother died when I was gone and my brother found me and told me. I never saw him again cause you know my time ran out. And I ki- no, ah i mean, my father was killed.' She hesitated.

'I thought I would never see my younger brother again because he apparently disappeared into think air. What I'm trying to say Hun is Henry isn't who you think he is-was. Henry's real name is Daniel, Daniel Charles Henry Speadson. His my brother by blood, royal blood,' she paused in my head.

'My little brother just died in front of me...' She trailed off.

Her emotions fell heavily on me and I soon found myself crying quietly as I walked around the house looking for Sophia.
