Defeated, disappointed and upset, also stressed out. Lilianne walked straight to her dorm to calm down, she should have gone back out to fix the situation, but she was certainly not in the mental state to do so.
Her curls sprawled all over her pillows as she laid down. Huffing. How had her day gone so wrong? She had fought with Draco, he had made Warren feel bad. She had no idea where the little chain he gifted her could be, the blond disposed of it. Meaning she could not give it back to him when she eventually talked with the boy.
Lilianne reflected on what she would say, Is Draco right? Would Warren actually snitch on us? He had never done anything of the sort, he had always been supportive and a tad overbearing but nice at the end of the day. Was she going to risk it? Was there even something to risk?
They had not broken up, right? No, no. They had fought, she hoped Draco thought the same. Later, a good few hours from now they would talk and fix it all up. At least that's what she was expecting.
"Hey" She heard, lifting her head from the mattress. She had been so lost in her thoughts she had not heard Corine enter. "How are you?" The redhead said, walking towards to sit at the edge of the bed. "How's Warren?" It was eating her alive all the harsh words Malfoy had said to her friend.
Corine took a breath, "He's... okay. Well, he's emotional of course" She looked around a bit, "But overall I'd say he'll be fine". The brunette sat up, "What Draco said was horrible" she said, "Poor Warren".
"It was definitely not a smooth conversation" Exelfan agreed, "Malfoy was really upset huh?". Lily nodded, "Still is, we just had our first fight". Exelfan furrowed her brows, "Wasn't your first fight that time after Hogsmeade?". To this day she had thought it was then.
"No, well I guess. But this was our first fight since we... started this" Lilianne whispered the last words, afraid someone might hear her. Exelfan smiled a little, "You can say it, there's no one around". The brunette calmed down a bit, still wary though.
"I sort of get it, imagine someone giving your boyfriend a gift like Warren was" The redhead reasoned, "I would never yell those things to them though" she shivered. "That's what I mean, I can understand he is upset, but why did he have to be so cruel to Warren?" Lilianne exclaimed.
"But Malfoy is not you, before we knew him we'd always hear about his... reactivity" Corine said, "His proneness to fight" the girl clarified. "I feel so embarrassed, Warren did not even have an idea what Draco was on about" She lamented, still not over that little burning in her chest.
"Are you going to tell him?" Corine asked. "Yeah, it's about time" The brunette wanted nothing but to clear this whole mess. "I thought, I thought if I followed him and calmed him down I could get him to go apologise to him" Lily said, she knew it was naive. She was well aware, but she was not thinking right then.
"Malfoy apologising?" Her friend was sceptical, "That doesn't seem realistic". The brunette straightened her back, "He apologised after the whole Hogsmeade thing". Corine just smiled, "Yeah, to you.".
"I mean, he is not the type of person to admit his wrongs like that. And if he did to you it's because you're the girl he likes" She was right, he had only apologised because he did not want her to be upset with him. "Aren't you supposed to be the most enthusiastic about this?" It was not often you saw Corine's analytical side, between her and Ariel, she had been the most thrilled by her relationship.
"I am, but I'm also realistic. I obviously don't know him like you do, but I know the reputation he made for himself" The girl reasoned. "I mean, he's not super sweet or lovey. He doesn't change with me, but he's... he's more..." Lily explained, fiddling with the loose thread of her skirt to think of the right word.
