Footsteps were muffled by the carpeted floor as different footwear, of size and style began following the creatures to their rooms. Separating at the central staircase to their respective wings, some watched the tapestries, others the hung adornments. Corvinus frowned being placed in an adjoining chamber with Yaxley, he went from more than a hundred acres to a shared bathroom, yet he ordered the elf to organize his clothing as he fumbled with every item he could find inside,
Sebastian clutched to Lilianne's hand tightly, as they were the last in the children group being led by two elves. A little before them, Livia Avery and Lethe Mulciber had varying degrees of hesitation. Blue eyes remembered those steps, her eyes darting in recognition of the place she had already roamed.
They were shown a lounge first, high-ceilinged parlour with pale blue walls, velvet upholstery in deep green, a fireplace and various items such as chessboards, violins, a clock, books and the likes. "This will be your common space" One of the elves squeaked, "Master and Mistress Malfoy wish you to be comfortable".
They began exploring it individually, heading to whatever was of their interest, "Once you are ready we can lead each to their respective rooms". Ten minutes it took for their exploration to be over, some ordering, others asking for the elves to continue. Either way they did, leading the group back to the corridor, "Miss Mulciber here" they opened an oak door, the dark haired girl entered in silence as one or two curious heads peaked inside, "Miss Avery" the opened another one, a little down, on the opposing wall, the blonde smiled at them before making her way inside.
The curved corridor was spacious enough for them to continue, passing a door where the elves said nothing, "Miss Lestrange" they opened one, she politely stepped inside but went back to the group to accompany her brother to his. "Mister Lestrange" They called from a door practically five steps from hers, she breathed a sigh of relief as both of them walked inside. "Ah... Mistress does not like girls in boys rooms, she was very specific" One of them warned, the two boys standing snickered, "He's my brother" Lilianne explained, they looked at each other before muttering something about telling their mistress what she said.
"Looks like you won't be able to visit me tonight then, Lestrange" Travers laughed, one of the elves gasped as a scoff sounded down the corridor. A tall imposing blond male made his way down, passing each without so much as a glance, opening and closing his door with ease.
He absolutely detested having people on his wing. He had repeatedly told his mother so, but she insisted, practically drawing a floor plan to explain they would be safer there. He did not give a fuck about their safety, that space was his to organize, his mother shut that thought instantly.
Bas's door closed after them, leaving them alone in the room. "I like it" The boy said, the room was big, possibly bigger than his own at home, opulent even for just a twelve year old boy. She picked the travelling cloth off his shoulders, placing it on the armoire, he walked around, "It's big" he whispered.
"Yes" Lilianne agreed, she'd been extra careful with him these past few days, tenderly caring for him, "You will have a comfortable month" she kissed his forehead, walking to the door when he picked up a satchel to organize. "Little boy needs sissy to help him?" Lethe Mulciber spoke with an eyebrow raised. The girl's features hardened as she knew Sebastian had heard, the door was still open, "Mind your business" she commanded in a tone not usual in her, the girl mocked a shrug, "If he's going to make it, someone needs to toughen him up".
Lilianne shut the door behind her, not responding to the girl but getting inside her room. "Oh" She gasped, an elf was already inside. "Sorry to surprise you Miss" The elf said apologetically, "Sanky was told to help you set in" she nodded understandingly, eyeing the drawers he'd already unpacked in. "Thank you" For some reason the elf seemed familiar, she couldn't pinpoint from where, she looked at the clock, not one full hour before one.
