Goumanya didn't know how long he'd been alone before the door opened. He'd figured out he was in a secure room that was also insulated when he realised how quiet it was. There was no noise from the outside and in a place like UA, that was odd.

He knew that most people would have been frustrated by the quiet, but he wasn't. Being frustrated by the quiet was for lesser people, those who questioned themselves. Those who doubted. He knew himself and the quiet was just quiet. It wasn't disconcerting. Infact, Goumanya got a nap in.

It was a bit surprising when the door slammed open, but he managed to keep himself from falling back in the chair. Instead, he looked up, and yawned, taking his feet off the table as he looked back at Hizashi and Shouta.

While he'd been waiting, he'd been trying to remember what little he knew about UA but all he really brought to mind was how much he didn't know. He knew UA did a sports festival each year, simply because on the days of it, no one talked about anything else. And the streaming sites just did not shut up about it.

And that was about the limit of his knowledge about UA, except for the fact that they were one of the best high schools in the country. Not just the best hero school. It was way out of his range, so he didn't bother to learn much about it. What quirkless person needed to know about it?

He looked at Shouta. The man still looked tired.

Hizashi looked over at him and there was something in his eyes that made Goumanya think they were going to drop the act. A moment later his thought was confirmed. "Where did you get your quirk?" the man asked.

Goumanya thought about not answering, but he'd told the people at Tsuke's place what had happened, and Dragon had said he wanted him to tell the truth. But... he was irritated. These heroes thought they were better than him.

"Sensou-ji," he told them.

They recognised the name of the temple.

Shouta in particular looked annoyed.

Goumanya snorted and shook his head slightly at the man's expression. He'd had a chance to think about why he'd say he was there, without revealing the fact that Dragon had essentially passed the word around. "Look, there was a rumour going around the Community that if you were at Sensou-ji on the day I was, then something might happen. It was implied to be about quirks."

They didn't look convinced. Goumanya didn't care. It was the truth.

"I didn't have anything better to do so I went."

"No work?" Hizashi asked.

"Quirkless," Goumanya reminded him.

"No study?"

"Quirkless."

Some of the quirkless had jobs or study... A lot didn't. He was part of that a lot. He sometimes had gotten odd jobs doing seasonal work but nothing major.

"So, you expect us to believe you were at Sensou-ji and what, you spontaneously manifested a quirk?" Shouta wasn't impressed with him.

This was the type of situation Dragon expected them to tell them the truth in.

"Yeah, even heroes aren't that stupid," he agreed, flashing them a smile. "The guy you call Dragon gave me the quirk," Goumanya said, relishing the surprise on their faces. "And before you ask, I don't know how he got word to the community." Kachi had organised it and he was pretty sure that Kachi hadn't spoken to Dragon either. There were a lot of links.

The heroes didn't look happy at his candour and Goumanya wondered if one of them had a truth sensing quirk. He didn't think so. That didn't seem like a good quirk for hero work. Good for a sidekick though.
