In any other circumstances, Goumanya would have been gawking at UA. Being frog marched through the grounds was somewhat dulling his appreciation. At least class was in session so there were no brats gawking at him.
In pretty short order, the two heroes, because they had to be heroes, had him in what could only be an interrogation room. It was secure and contained a table and three chairs. They dumped him in one of them before they both took the chairs opposite.
He wasn't sure what it meant that they hadn't bothered to secure him. Were they that confident of their ability? Or did they not know he had a quirk? Either way, that might be to his advantage.
"You've had an interesting few days," the one who'd gotten him out of Tsuke's office said.
Goumanya didn't really follow heroes, so he didn't know who he was. Well, he knew his name was Hizashi and that was about it. The other man's name was Shouta and besides looking perpetually tired, Goumanya didn't know much about him.
"Have you arrested me?" Goumanya asked.
It was an American thing to be read rights but there were protocols Japanese Heroes and Police had to follow.
"We're thinking about it," the black-haired guy, Shouta said in a tone that made it clear that they'd do it if he caused a problem.
And then if they did, they could hold him for twenty-something days... and Goumanya knew what happened in that time. It gave the cops, and heroes, plenty of time to 'find' evidence against him. Except, candour compelled Goumanya to admit, privately at least, that it wouldn't be too hard to find real evidence against him.
Kobun hadn't been discreet.
"We just want to ask some questions," Hizashi said.
Ah, the good hero, bad hero routine.
"I don't know what you mean about an interesting few days," Goumanya replied. "Life is usually interesting." He kept his tone pleasant and managed not to roll his eyes at their obvious ploy.
Hizashi and Shouta shared a look. It was their way of telling him that they were aware that he knew.
"Armoured car heists do seem to be a step up from your previous activities," Shouta observed.
"Hey, I was a kid then!" Goumanya objected. Sure, he had some minor infringements. What quirkless person didn't?
"It's illustrative," Shouta said in a tone that told Goumanya he'd happily apply the full force of the law.
"You can'-" Goumanya didn't finish. One of their phones pinged.
"The rat," Shouta growled, rolling his eyes, but he pulled out his phone from somewhere and answered it. "Nezu," he greeting whoever this rat was.
He stretched his ears to listen, but even being pretty close to Shouta, he couldn't hear the speaker, but he had caught a glimpse of the screen which indicated that there was a live call. It could be a set up but if it was, then it was pretty good.
"Fine," Shouta snapped and abruptly pushed his chair back. "Nezu wants to discuss something now," he told Hizashi.
"Now?"
"Now."
Hizashi sighed. "I'll wait," he said as he got up as well.
"Hey, wait-" Goumanya cried but the two ignored him as they walked out. He jumped up and just missed the door as it closed and while he grabbed the handle, it was already locked.
"Fuck!" Goumanya growled.
"Just sit tight." That was Hizashi. "We'll be back soon."
He considered destroying the furniture, or attacking the door but so far, they didn't seem to know he had a quirk. They had to though since they'd mentioned the car heists.
