Chapter 22: Showcase Part 2

-Two Weeks Later-

3rd Person POV

Everyone was on pins and needles because today was the day of the showcase so everybody was nervous. Lucious informed everyone that there would be a lot of investors there so they had to be on their best behavior. While in a meeting Lucious began to grow impatient the board has been talking his ears off for an hour and a half, he just wanted to go home and spend time with his family he hasn't seen them all day due to rehearsals and last minute meetings "Lucious did you hear me?" Edna asked Lucious snapped out of his daydream "Hm oh yeah I heard you. It's at 9:00." He said Edna nodded and stood up "Ok with that being said this meeting is adjourned thank you all have a great day." Edna said as everyone left Lucious sighed in relief glad that the meeting was over he figured his kids were at rehearsals so he made his way down there.

Once he made it he saw Shardae, Melodie, and Jamal performing and cookie at the table watching closely he smiled and sat down next to his wife. She looked at him and gave him a kiss "Hey baby how was the meeting?" She asked he huffed laying his head on her shoulder "Damn it was that bad?" She asked he nodded "You have no idea baby we just sat there of over an hour for no reason." He said pouting she laughed he was always so extra she rubbed his back "Its okay baby when we get home I'll run a a nice hot bath. How does that sound?" She asked lifting his head towards her, he smiled "That sounds good but why we gotta wait til we get home. We can go right now." He said kissing her neck tickling her she giggled "Stop it! baby our kids are right here." She said pushing his face away he rolled his eyes pouting she looked at him putting her arms around his neck "Aw I'm sorry baby come here." She said kissing him he smiled kissing her back and the two into a very heated make out session. But their kids brought them out of their little bubble they groaned and looked at their kids.

"Ew y'all were right here." Jamal said cookie and Lucious shrugged their shoulders "So what boy you know how you got here." Lucious said Jamal groaned sitting down with them "That's still nasty y'all." He said grabbing a water as Shardae and Melodie joined them looking very unfazed by their parents even though they've been together for a while them kissing was still disgusting to them. Jamal looked at them trying to figure out why they have no reaction Melodie looked up from her phone feeling Jamal stare at her "What Mal?" She asked he looked at cookie and Lucious who were still all hugged up she shrugged shaking her head he hurried and rolled his eyes. Shardae looked at her parents "So ma have you talked to Tiana? I haven't seen her all day." She said changing the subject cookie shook her head "No I haven't she ain't been answering her phone either." She said. Shardae and Melodie sighed "Ok I'm bout to go over her house and see if she there." Shardae said getting up "Hold up I'm going too." Melodie said getting up as well "Call me when y'all get there and please be careful." Cookie said they nodded and walked towards the door Lucious looked at Jamal "Mal can you go with them just in case?" He asked Jamal nodded and got up "Alright dad I got you." He said following behind his sisters.

After about 30 minutes they finally made it to Tiana's house. They walked up to the front door to find it unlocked which was unusual Tiana ask ways locked her doors especially after the kidnapping. They walked in to find her on the couch passed out they ran towards her "Oh my god Tiana wake up!" Melodie said while Shardae called an ambulance. And after 10 minutes they finally came they followed them to the hospital while they waited Jamal called his mom letting her know what was going on. They sat there patiently waiting for the doctor to come back with results. After a while the doctor came, they all stood up "Is she ok doctor?" Jamal asked the doctor sighed "Well your friend as suffered from alcohol poisoning and she was also drugged, we had to pump her stomach. Shes going to have to stay here over night because were still monitoring her just in case whatever she took has a bad side affect due to what ever drug she took she could go in shock or have a seizure from the drug. She's sleeping right now but you can go see her she's in room 102." The doctor said they all nodded "Ok thank you I'm going to give you my number. Call me if anything happens please." Shardae said writhing her number down the doctor nodded and walked away.
