Chapter 28: What Now?

-One Week Later-

3rd Person POV

Lucious sat in his office highly irritated for some reason Damon wanted to have a meeting with him. He didn't know why but he guessed that it was because of the fact that Damon still hasn't even worked on the songs. Or because he literally tried to break up Shardae and Blake he was actually going to kill Damon if it wasn't for cookie telling him that they have to come up with a plan before they just go and kill him Damon walking in brought him out of his thoughts he looked at Damon , he had a weird smile on his face like he was up to something. Lucious shook it off and sat up in his chair  "So what do you want Damon?" He asked "I just wanted to see if you could help me with this track. I've been stuck on it since last week." Damon asked Lucious scoffed he had a lot  of nerve "No I can't I still have to produce my legacy album." He snapped Damon hummed he didn't really care about the song he came in here for something else. "Ok that's cool. So how's the album coming?" He asked. Lucious glared at him why was he acting like they were friends he decided to play into his little act "It's going great Shardae and Blake agreed to do my song whatever makes you happy." He said just to see Damon's reaction and once he saw him look away and roll his eyes he pushed his buttons more.

"Yeah they really make a lovely couple they remind me a lot of Cookie and I. They have that whole nothing and no one can break us type on love. So how's Yana?" He said smirking at Damon's face he could see that he was anxious "Um she's good." He nervously said Lucious got up and poured him and Damon a drink and then sat back down "So....Damon tell me. Why'd you make a AI generated video of you and my daughter?" He said before sipping out of his glass and giving Damon his. Damon gasped he knew that they would tell Lucious but for a weird reason he thought that they wouldn't he actually thought that it worked but from what Lucious just told him it didn't. Just as he was about to answer Lucious phone rang he grabbed it "Hold that thought I gotta take this." He said answering Damon watched him as he looked at the name and smiled. Lucious turned around "Hey baby what you doing?" He asked Damon rolled his eyes he was on the phone with Cookie. So while Lucious back was turned he grabbed some clear tape out of his pocket and pressed it against the glass where Lucious left his fingerprints ones had and it he put it the ziplock bag he also had on his pocket. As he heard the phone call end he quickly put the bag in his pocket and sat back sipping from his drink.

Lucious hung up and turned around "Sorry about that the twins just wanted to tell me what they ate at school." He said chuckling he really did not wanna act like this man's friend but he had to get Damon to relax to he could come clean on who made the video "Now back to our original conversation. Why did you make that video?" He asked. Damon sighed he didn't wanna snitch on his daughter "Because I wanted to break Shardae and Blake up." He confessed "Why." "Cause I wanted to be with Shardae but Blake was in the way." He said hoping to god that Lucious believed him. Lucious looked at him and grinned he knew he was lying "You and I both know that not true. I know Yana wants Blake and I know that she had you make that video Damon." He said Damon groaned shaking his head as Lucious continued "Now the only thing stopping me from killing you is my wife she don't want me catching a case over you so I told I won't. But don't act like I cant find a way to kill you without her knowing. So heres what you're going to do." He said getting up and luring him another drink "You are going to finish those songs and then stay the hell away from my family got it?" He said walking back to his desk Damon nodded Lucious pointed towards the door and Damon got up and left.

After about thirty minutes Lucious was getting ready to leave when he got a call from an unknown number He recorded it and answered:

?- Hello Lucious
L- Vernon what do you want?
V- Look man I know you're mad at me but I'm just trying to help you.
L- What are you talking about?
V- Damon is trying to take you down. He is trying to get you arrested by trying to prove that empire is an illegal organization. And then he is going to try to get Cookie.
L- What? He is not going to be able to do shit. Empire is legal.
V- I know that but he is planning on paying some people to fabricate a story. Remember when I popped up at empire. He blackmailed me and told me to try to get you to trust me and try to get information from you. But I told him I couldn't do it and he threatened to kill me.
L- How long has he been doing this?
V- For a while now he's been blackmailing me since I left empire. He has done this three times before he takes Yana to a record company she falls for either the owner or one of the artist and he falls for the owner daughter or the owners wife. The last company they came from went completely down Damon had the own put in prison on trumped up charges and Yana broke up a relationship with the artist and then left him. I've been trying to track them down to ask them more questions but I can't seem to find him.
L- What did you do?
V- (sighs) I..um killed jasmines mother. I didn't do it on purpose we were arguing about what I did to you and she started hitting me so I pushed her. And she fell back and hit her head on the counter I didn't know what to do so I pan lied and called Damon since he was my friend at that time and he helped me bury her.
L-.....
V- I know it's a lot to take so I'll leave you alone I just wanted you to know. Even though I've been real shady back in the day I just wanted you to know that I am very sorry for what I've done.
(Hangs Up)
