Chapter 29: The Morning After

-The Next Day-

3rd Person POV

Shardae woke up and looked at the clock she groaned it was pushing twelve o'clock. She looked around the room and found no trace of Blake she figured he was either in the shower or the kitchen. She got and went into her bathroom and took a shower, after about twenty minutes she got out and began brushing her teeth and washing her face. Once she was done with that she put on a tank top and some shorts and then made her way downstairs to the kitchen. On her way downstairs she could have sworn she heard Blake talking to someone when she got closer to the kitchen she realized he was on the phone "Alright Mama C, see y'all later." He said before he hung up she smiled, she was so happy that Blake got along with her family she wished it could be like that with Blake's family. Well since he is an only child it's just his mom and stepdad, Shardae hasn't met them yet but from Blake tells her they are not too happy with him being with Lucious Lyons daughter. She remembered Blake calling her to vent about how his mom would force him to go in dates with her middle aged friends just for money. But when he got with Shardae he thought his mom finally changed but she didn't when they went public about their relationship she blocked him saying that he could do a lot better than to be with a rappers daughter. And they haven't spoken since Blake was hurt at first but he went to therapy where he relized he was not the problem.

His mom was always taking her frustrations out on him, he guessed it was because he looked exactly like his father and for some reason his mom couldn't stand the man. So she cheated on his biological father and then married her new guy and moved him in to their family home with Blake's dad still there. So his father divorced her and left he hasn't heard from him since. She finally made it to the kitchen where she saw him what it looked like pancakes. She walked in and hopped on the island behind him, once he felt her presence he turned the stove off and turned around and hugged her. He pulled back and looked at her "Good morning, beautiful." He said resting his hands on her thighs "Good Morning baby." She said smiling he smirked "How do you feel?" He asked her "Very satisfied baby." She said he smiled putting his hands on her hips "Me too, you put it on me last night." He said chuckling. She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, they were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't even hear Yana come in.

"Aw y'all are so cute." She said snapping them out of their kiss, Shardae looked at her and hopped down and stood in front of Blake. The two women stared each other down for a couple second's before Blake broke the silence "How the fuck did you get in here?" He sternly asked she chuckled "You know y'all should really upgrade the security around here. All I had to do was convince him that I was here to apologize and he let me right on up." She lied the truth is that the guard was shot. Shardae rolled her eyes "What do you want?" Blake asked Yana looked at him "That's easy I want you." She said Blake huffed "How many times do I have to tell you. I don't want you I'm in love with Shardae." He said wrapping his arms around her Yana scoffed she was hoping that she didn't have to resort to violence especially not with Blake she sighed and pulled out her gun and aimed it at Shardae Yana looked at her. For some reason she wasn't phased by it, she didn't need to be she knew Blake wouldn't let anything happen to her.

"Yana what the fuck are doing put the gun down!" Blake shouted Yana shook her head "No I can't do that, we can't be together until she's out of the picture." She said before pulling the trigger Blake pushed Shardae to the side and stood in front of her. Yana gasped she didn't think that he would actually take a bullet for her "Oh my god baby!!" Shardae shouted putting pressure on his lower abdomen. She didn't even care about Yana being there at this point she just wanted Blake to get to a hospital he was losing a lot of blood. Yana glared at her she figured she might as well finish the job and just as she raised her gun again she was abruptly shot in the head. Lucious lowered his gun and called an ambulance and Cookie grabbed a towel and put pressure on Blake's wound. She looked at her daughter with tears in her eyes they both looked at Blake who was passed out. Cookie grabbed Shardae's hand "He's going to be okay." She said. It wasn't long before the ambulance came and took him to the hospital. His surgery took forever it pushing 7 o'clock and everyone was in the waiting room anxiously waiting for any information on Blake's condition. Shardae was going through it, she felt numb like there was nothing she could do she felt hopeless.

She hasn't even said anything since they took him to surgery, well no one said anything they were all just praying that he'll be okay. A few minutes later the doctor came in and everyone stood up "How is he?" Shardae asked "He's okay luckily the bullet passed right by his spleen and exited inches away from his spinal cord. He could have been paralyzed, he just be find he just lot a lot of blood he's going to need a blood transfusion. We are working to contact his mother since she's in the emergency contact. In the meantime he is awake would you all like to see him?" The doctor asked everyone nodded Lucious sighed in relief and sat down Cookie stood up and looked at him "I'm going to see if I can get one of the guys to track down his parents. I'll be there in a minute baby." He said she nodded and made her way to Blake's room.

Once inside she saw Shardae and Melodie sitting next to him and Jamal and Denzel siting on the other side she walked over towards him and gave him a hug "How you feeling Blake?" Cookie asked he huffed "I'm good I'm just hungry." He said rubbing his stomach "Well I'm glad you're okay and I want to thank you for saving my daughter life." Cookie said he smiled "No, thank you guys for giving me the family I always wanted." He said everyone smiled. It wasn't long before Lucious joined them, he still wasn't able to track down Blake's parents but he figured that could wait until tomorrow before he joined them the doctor did inform him that Shardae could donate blood for him if his mother didn't answer. And when she didn't Shardae donated her blood, once they came back they finally ordered some food and about a couple hours later everyone left except for Shardae. She decided to spend the night with him.

-The Next Day-

Damon looked at his daughter as she laid on the cold table at the city morgue. He put ran his finger across her cheek and found himself zoning out. He didn't even hear anything that the officer was saying "What happened?" He asked "Your daughter shot and killed a security guard the broke into Shardae's home and shot her boyfriend. Lucious entered just as she was about to shoot Shardae and shot her." He stated Damon glared at him and looked back at Yana giving her one last kiss on her forehead before he stormed out and went to his car. He figured that he had to make Lucious pay for killing Yana. And what better to do that then to kill everyone that he loves.
