Chapter 2: Thankgiving Day

-Melodie POV-

Wassup y'all I know y'all ain't heard from me in a minute but anyways it has been 2 days since I came back home but I have to go back to college I think tomorrow but today is thanksgiving. And the whole family is over here except for Jamal I mean he said he was coming he might still come though it's like 6:00 and we just doing our own thing well me and Shardae are currently playing with the twins in the playroom but I think everybody else is downstairs I think my grandma just got here with Candace I'm not going down till the food is ready. I was in the ball pit with Jurnee when I saw my lil sister Shardae try to go downstairs I hopped out and stopped her I grabbed her arm she looked at me "What?" She said "Girl do not go downstairs you know how long it's been since we seen our aunties?" I asked her she nodded and still tried leave out I said four word that made her stop "Grandma is down there." With that she turned back around. We laid on the floor bored as hell what we need is some snacks so we can watch a movie "Aye y'all want some snacks?" I asked them they all nodded and said yeah but we can't go downstairs I'm not trying to have my checks sore from people squeezing them so I called my dad.

L- Hello
M-Oh yeah hey dad can you bring us some snacks please?
L-Not before y'all eat
M-(groans)Ok can you just bring us some juice and popcorn and possibly some chips
L-(laughs) that's still bringing y'all snacks
M-Ok just the juice we are like so dehydrated (everybody fake coughs)
L-Just come down and get it
M-dad is grandma Rosie down there
L-No but come down there's somebody that's wants to see y'all
M-Ok

I hung up and told Shardae that it was clear to go downstairs we went downstairs and get in the kitchen my mom and dad were behind the island as soon as i made it though the kitchen door "OH MY GOD y'all got so big." Rosie yelled running to me I shot my dad some quick eyes which made him bust out laughing so did my mom my grandma hugged me so tight I think that she was crying "Oh my god I missed y'all so much." She said hugging me more "Grandma-Huh Baby-I can't breathe." I said to her she let me go and began to squeeze my cheeks then began to kissing all over me after that she went towards Shardae who was backing away and ended up running into Granddad James so they both hugged her even tighter "OH MY GOD!!" They said then they let her go and begin kissing her face and squeezing her cheeks she groaned "Tell my family I love them. Please THEY NEED TO KNOW!!" She said we all laughed then after that we looked at our dad we was hiding behind my mom and we obviously could still see him because she is so short I looked and seen that the patio door was open and it wasn't that could outside so I nodded to Shardae who already caught the clues first we needed more team mates we called the twins and told them they nodded me and Jurnee went on one side of my dad and Shardae and Jovan went on the other side my dad moved from behind my mom I smiled and me and Shardae walked up him and went in his pockets and took out his phone, keys, and anything else then walked away. He had a confused look on his face it was the twins turn "Daddy look at the sky it's so pretty." Jurnee said he walked to the patio door and they pulled him outside everybody in the kitchen went out the patio door as well wanting to see when he was at the edge of the uncovered pool the twins moved me and Melodie high fived each other the looked at out mom who was shaking her head and smiling we took our phones out as well and ran up to him and pushed him in the pool at full speed we ended up falling in as well "WHAT THE HELL!!" He yelled we laughed. After all that it was like almost time to eat we heard the doorbell ring and I answered it and it was Jamal "Oh my god!!" I said soon everyone came and hugged him especially my mom. We were standing around the table in a circle holding each other's hands "Shardae, you wanna say the prayer." James asked her she nodded "I need every head bowed." She said we bowed our heads what she did next made me bust out laughing "Theeee devil thought he haddddd meeeee, Ohhhhh but I runnnnn." She sung We all laughed "Shardae come on a real prayer." Jamal said "Ok ok Lord I want to thank you for the food that we are about to receive and for this amazing family, We may have some bumps in our road but we all come together smoothly. And, Lord I want to thank ya.....For chicken you didn't have to do what you did, you gave 'em 2legs, 2 thighs, 2 winngss a little hot sauce on 'em." She sung we laughed "Ma it's something wrong with her." Jamal said my mom laughed and nodded after that we ate dinner.

-Cookie POV-
-Next Day-

Yesterday was so fun but today is day that my baby girls go back to collage but spring break is near and plus Jamal is staying this was a good break I missed them so much. We are at empire right now because the girls said they wanted to spend the last day here. We are now waiting on the elevator and when it finally can a young woman got off with her daughter the little girl couldn't look more than four years old. But Jamal knew then back in the day I think her name was Olivia or something Jamal told me that they went together for like a year "Who's this pretty little girl?" Jamal asked her "This is Lola she is here to see her daddy."She said
"WHAT!?!"
