Chapter 19: Obsessed

-A Few Weeks Later-

DAMON POV

After spending a lot of time in the studio with Yana I actually think that she has what it takes to be a star. I just think that she's a little shy with performing but I'm sure she'll get it cookie and Lucious are gearing her up to perform at the showcase. I believe it's to raise money for something I'm just not sure I really don't remember but I do know that there will be a lot of powerful people there that would help empire get more business. I sat back in the chair listening as Yana new track played over the speakers and continued to think as I was deep in my thoughts I heard the door open I turned around to see that is was Cookie I smiled and signaled for Yana to take a break as Cookie came in and sat down the producers chair. As she sat down I took the time to admire her while she tapped away on her phone distracted there's no doubt that she's a gorgeous woman almost to gorgeous she had beautiful skin everything about her is perfect her face, body, hair and her scent. I just hate that she's with that boy when she needs to be with a real man aka me. I continued thinking about Cookie almost getting lost in thought just looking at her what snapped me out of my daze was Yana coming out of the booth as soon as she did cookie looked up from her phone and smiled at Yana "Yana you're doing so good and that track is beautiful." She said Yana smiled "Thank you Cookie." "Are you ready to rehearse it on stage?" She asked Yana sighed and put her head down "I don't think I am cookie I just get so nervous you know? That's a big stage I'm used to performing at coffee shops....I don't know it's just so different from what I'm used to." Yana confessed Cookie looked at me with like a semi irritated look I sighed "It's okay Yana I know it's hard but something's different is good you should try going out of your comfort zone. But the showcase is in two months so you have time to practice it's okay." She said reassuring her Yana smiled "Ok thanks cookie, hey dad I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick alright." She said I nodded "Go ahead take as long as you need." I said smiling once Yana left cookie got up to leave as well she was definitely mad and I actually understand why. Yana missed out on so many good deals because of her stage fright but I believe she is getting better a little. As cookie walked to the door I took the time to stare at her ass once she got to the door she turned around and caught me staring she huffed "Look Damon Imma need you to stop staring at me you might think I don't see you staring but I do you need focus on getting you're daughter in line she got one month to get it together ok? Cause if she don't I will drop her." She spoke sternly I nodded she opened the door "And if I catch you looking at my ass one more time I will kill you." She said as she walked out and slammed the door I smiled I've never seen her this angry before it was sexy but at the same time I knew she was telling the truth. I huffed 'Man shit I need to get Yana into shape I can't miss the opportunity.' I thought as I texted Yana telling her to meet me in the lobby but she didn't respond where the hell is she it's been like an hour I sighed and went to the bar and fixed me a drink as I waited.

Cookie POV

I walked through empire trying to calm down I'm tired of this nigga and his daughter like how is she gon say that she used to performing at coffee shops and she can barely hold a damn microphone without getting nervous we've been at this for about a month and a half and she still ain't getting it. The closes we've to her making progress was her standing on the stage and even then she just froze up she need to get it together cause I can't have her fucking up our showcase. As I was walking and making my way to the green room I heard Melodie and Jamal laughing I walked in they smiled "Hey Ma." They said "Hey babies y'all seen Lucious?" I asked " Nope he prolly still at the boring ass meeting." Jamal said I huffed and sat down next to them "Ma you ok what's wrong?" Melodie asked I sat up "Girl I'm tired of Yana and Damon the girl act like she scared of the stage I don't think that she really wants to be a actual performer she gon tell me she can't get on stage cause it's different and she used to performing at coffee shops." I said as I grabbed a bowl of grapes I looked at they face and laughed "Huh?" They said "Right and then when I first went into the studio her damn daddy was staring a hole in the side of my face and I caught him looking at my ass." I confessed. They shrugged and looked at each other "Now ma you know you fine so people gon stare at your face. What you think dad gon say about him looking at your ass though?" Melodie said Jamal made a disgusted face "Hello I'm right here." He said I rolled my eyes at him "So and you came out of me." I said "Ma that's nasty- Whatever boy..... anyway if I tell your father he is going to kill him. But I did tell Damon that if I caught him staring at me again I would. And Imma drop his damn daughter of she don't get it together." I said they hummed and nodded as we continued talking Lucious finally came in and sat down next to us he greeted us and he groaned "That meeting was so boring. What y'all been doing?" He asked "Nothing for real just chilling waiting on Shardae so we can go out to dinner." Melodie said Lucious hummed. As we sat there waiting on Shardae Lucious was telling us about the meeting "So then after the first hour had passed and after I had pitched the Leviticus las vegas deal they just kept asking my these dumb ass questions so that added a whole extra hour. And then Edna big ass gon walk out and go to the bathroom for a whole thirty minutes and when she came back she wanted to know the answer for every question so they asked me the same questions over and over and that added another fucking hour." He said we laughed "Why she gotta be big tho?" Jamal asked laughing "Cause she is man." He said laughing. While we kept talking Shardae finally came "Hey y'all come on." She said we sighed and got up "Oh my god finally damn I felt my stomach eating up my back." Jamal said rubbing his back Shardae smacked her teeth "Mal you are so extra." She said laughing as we walked out of the room and into the car.

Yana POV

I sighed as I got out of the coat closet so glad that nobody had a coat to put in here I was supposed to be getting some water and leaving but when I seen Jamal and melodie coming and I hid wanting to eavesdrop on their conversation. They weren't really talking about anything other than their love life. They were mainly talking about Shardae and Blake saying how happy they were that she was in a relationship and how he might be her first love the girl might be a virgin I scoffed he can do a whole lot better and he will eventually I'll give it about a month and he'll be with me. Other than that it was pretty boring I felt my phone vibrating and looked down and rolled my eyes taking my phone off silent its dad again I can't believe dad is literally drooling over cookie he need to calm down before he blow this whole damn thing well to be honest he's the only one that wants me to be a star shit I've never even performed before and I don't want to I only decided to do it cause of Blake I seen him on tv and instantly fell in love so I convinced my dad that I wanted to be a singer and he set it up so the we would bump into them so imma need for him to keep it together for one more month my phone rang again this time he was calling as soon as I answered he started yelling "Dad calm down I'm on my way i just got side tracked." I said and then hanging up. After I hung up I grabbed a bottle of water and started walking back to the studio as I was walking I heard an instrumental playing in one of the other studios I peeked in and saw that it was Blake in there writing I made sure he was by himself 'Good I've been wanting some alone time with him.' I thought as I quietly snuck in.
