Chapter 10: 17 YEARS?!?

A/N: Hey y'all I know I've been gone for some time but hey I'm back now and I have a surprise for y'all. This chapter is like a back in the day chapter from when Cookie got her jailtime I thought I should do one of these because why not you know so anyways, enjoy."

Cookie POV

I'm so nervous today I have to go to court and I must say I'm terrified what if they give me life or death row and even though I might be over reacting it could be true. I'm just glad that I don't have to sit in a holding sell until m sentenced. So what happened was there was a drug deal I was doing and Lucious couldn't make it because he was at the kids play they were doing on what was it, oh lion king (I made that up😐) . But anyways the deal went like it usually does but someone tipped off the cops that's how they knew our spot so then they arrested me and questioned me and tried to make me a deal like if I snitch on Lucious then I wouldn't go to jail. So I said no I'm not ever snitching and especially not on Lucious so that is what lead to this me getting ready to go to court. Right now I'm in the bathroom of my bedroom looking in the mirror trying to see if I'm ready for this. As I'm putting on my white fur coat I saw Lucious crying which is not weird to me anymore since he cried at our wedding. I walked over to him and sat on the bed beside him and tapped him he looked up with tears falling from his eyes "What's wrong baby?" I asked him he just sat there still looking at me until he finally answered "I'm scared baby...I'm scared to lose you I feel like this is my fault." He said looking away "Baby it's not your fault ok it just happened okay, you couldn't have known that was going to happen. And nothing is going to happen to me I know how to take care of myself you know that. Alright, so stop stressing okay now come help me put my shoes on if I'm going to jail like a bad bitch I'm coming out like a bad bitch." I said while walking and smiling to myself he laughed let's hope the sentence goes okay.

-Time Skip-
3rd Person POV

Cookie sat in her seat nervously as the judge was talking she didn't know what he was talking about she was to busy thinking about her family. And how she would be leaving them for some time she mainly thought about her kids and Lucious she prayed silently that her kids wouldn't hate her for going away then she snapped out of that daze she was in when she heard Lucious calling her name she turned around behind her and damn near half of Philly was there well mainly the people she knew she smiled "It's going to be okay baby just be the strong woman I know you are I love you." He said then she looked at her babies "We love you mommy." They all said she smiled "I love y'all to." She said and she turned around the group of jurors came in and sat "Jury what's the verdict how do you plea?" The judge asked "We plead guilty your honor on all counts." That ugly ass lady said "Well Cookie Lyon you are sentenced to 20-25 years in prison. You have 5 minutes to say goodbye to your family." She turned around with tears in her eyes and hugged Jamal so tight she was crying and so was he she kissed him on his cheeks then hugged Melodie and did the same the she went to Shardae "Mommy why are you crying?" She said cookie knew it was going to hard saying goodbye especially to Shardae since she was so young and just went through something with her real birth mother. Cookie looked down trying to keep her composure all she felt was a little hands lifting her head and wiping her tears she looked at all her kids "Mommy has to go away for some time because she did something very bad okay?" She said hugging all of them tight they all nodded "Now promise me that y'all will take care of you dad for me. And Jamal take care if you sisters for me. Okay I love y'all never forget that I'm always here and I always will be." She said giving them one last hug before she stood up and hugged Lucious for dear life and kissed him with tears coming down their eyes "Take care of my babies and you don't let me being not here stop you from chasing your dreams. Alright I love you and I always will no matter what." She said "I love you to baby." Lucious after that the guards took her on the bus to go to jail.

3 years later

Cookie woke up again in cold sweat, heart beating fast, and out of breath. When she sat up she saw those same bars that she seen these past horrible years. She looked behind her at the pictures of her babes and smiled that instantly calmed her down every night when she would have bad dreams all its takes is one look at those pictures and she would be cool that's what got her through those horrible. Her babies are forever her everything.

Present Day
-Cookie POV -

I woke up with a jerk from this horrible ass dream I don't ever want to go back to that day. And I don't know what I would do without my babies I'm so grateful that they didn't hate me. I looked over at Lucious laying his head on my pillow I'm glad that I gave us 1 more chance I kissed him on his cheek and got of bed and walked over to the twins rooms and seen that they were sleeping so peacefully same as Jamal and Lola I still can't believe Olivia tried me or my family like that. I made my way to melodies room opened the door and saw that she was siting still but thinking to herself with headphones on and a notebook in her other hand hopefully she's writing some music I haven't heard her singing in so long I was about to walk out when she called me "Yeah." I said she made a motioned for me to come over and sit next to her on her bed, I cracked the door and sat next to her  "What's up?" I asked she looked away "What's Shardae's story like what happen?" She asked me I told her she looked shocked I also told her that they have been coming by empire trying trying to basically buy her from us "They really said that?" She said I nodded she scoffed "I know right then I was your not about to buy my child from me. Then after I said that they left." I said "Foreal Ma." Shardae said coming out of now where we looked at her like explain she huffed "I hate it when y'all do that man but anyways I couldn't sleep and I saw that y'all was still up so I came in and I heard everything that was said. And I say we visit their little 'company' or whatever what do y'all say?" She asked us we nodded she sat on the bed and laid down and got under the covers Melodie looked at her "What are you doing?" She asked Shardae turned to her "Sleepover." She said Melodie huffed and nodded "So what are we going to do when we visit their low budget as company?" Melodie asked "We going to go fuck some shit up but we have to be there when it's just the two of them there which would probably be at night time or early in the morning I don't know I'm just tryna fuck some shit up, ok." Shardae said we laughed because as she was talking she was falling asleep at the same time. We agreed but she was already asleep Melodie laid down and so did I and we all had a beautiful sleep we were going to need it after all tomorrow were fucking some shit up.
