~Laura's POV~

I love you.
It's amazing how three simple words can change the way you look at the world.
He loves me.

Kaiden Hunter loves me, of all people. As my eyes cracked open the next day I could hardly believe how the following night had turned out. I'd been on a date with someone else but had told the man I truly wanted to be with, that I loved him.

"Laura, breakfast is ready." Mom shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

Throwing the cover back, I replied. "Ok, be down in a minute."

The large shirt I had chosen to sleep in had ridden up over the night. Pulling it down, I ran my fingers gently over my stomach. Thing's might actually work out. Slipping into my bathrobe, I walked downstairs and sat at the table with my family. Nobody had mentioned the night before but I knew that soon I would have to tell them. I would tell them that Kaiden and I were actually together, the thought alone sent thrilled shivers through my body.

"What has everyone got planned for today?" Mom asked. Her usual snippy tone was gone and was now replaced by a warm, loving version. "Laura, I thought we might go into the city and visit some baby shops? You can never be too prepared."

"Sure," I agreed. It wasn't like I had anything better to do. "Sounds like fun."

"You ladies will need some money, I'll put some in your account after breakfast dear." Dad smiled at my mother who beamed back.

Harley looked between my parents and myself before grinning. "Ok, who are you and what have you done with my family?"

"Oh hush." Mom scolded.

Finishing off the eggs that had been piled onto my plate, I excused myself. "I'm going to go get ready, leave in an hour?"

Mom nodded, "Sounds good to me."

Putting my dishes in the sink I moved towards the stairs but was stopped by the doorbell.

"I'll get it." I called into the kitchen before pulling on the large wooden door. On the other side I was greeted by Nick who stood awkwardly holding a huge bunch of pink roses.

"Morning." He smiled, his cheeks turning a slight shade of red. "I know I should have called but I thought you might like a surprise so," Holding the flowers out he shrugged. "Surprise."

"Thank you." I gushed, grabbing the flowers and bringing them to my nose. "You didn't have to do that."

"I know but the way last night ended I thought you might like a pick me up."

Guilt tied my stomach in knots. He didn't know about me and Kaiden but I couldn't bring myself to tell him.
Nick showed interest in me when nobody else would, he didn't care that I had a soccer ball under my shirt, he liked me for who I was.

Smiling I pulled him into a light hug, "Thank you, Nick. This means so much to me."

"You should smile more often," He replied as he pulled away. "It's a beautiful sight."

My cheeks heated at the compliment, nobody had ever said anything like that to me before. When had my life become so complicated? I went from having nobody interested in me, to liking two people and for once the feelings being mutual.

"I should go, just thought I would drop by before work."

"Thank you." I repeated as I watched him move down the path and hop into his truck.
Man, I was in trouble.

"What about this?" Mom asked, holding up a small onesie with 'Just did nine months on the inside', written across the front. "I think it's cute and funny."
