Kaiden's POV
"Guess this makes it all real, doesn't it?" Julian smirked. "I don't think I've ever seen you look at something or someone with so much love before bro. Laura is the one, isn't she?"
I hadn't given much thought to how I really felt but as Julian stood against the wall with a smug grin on his face, I couldn't argue that I loved her with every fibre of my being.
Casting a glance in the direction of the lounge, I watched silently as Laura laughed and joked with family and friends. Who knew such a shitty situation, could turn into the best thing that had ever happened to me?"I love her, man." I admit.
"I never thought I would say this," Turning my attention back I watched as my cousin chuckled to himself before continuing. "Maybe this baby was the thing you needed. I probably wouldn't recommend doing it so young but I'm proud of you cuz."
"Thank you, Julien."
"So are you staying here for good now or are you going to move back home?" He asked, already knowing the answer. "Right, as if you would move back."
Running a hand over my face and taking a sip from the plastic blue cup I held in my hand, I groaned. "I don't want Liz to be angry but this is my life. She needs to either accept that Laura is part of it or she won't be."

Laura's POV
By the time everyone had left and we'd cleaned up the mass of cups and discarded food scraps, the sun had set and I was exhausted.
My feet ached as I slipped into bed, my eyes heavy and stinging from exhaustion. It wasn't long before I felt the familiar dip of the mattress and the warm hands of the man I loved as he cuddled into my side, making small circles on my belly with his finger tip. We stayed silent for several minutes, just enjoying the sound of crickets outside and our lazy breath."I love you, you know?" He finally whispered after what seemed like forever.
Cracking my eyes open, I looked over at his tired face and smiled. "I know. I love you too."
"Who would've thought this is where we would be, sitting in bed confessing our feelings." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry your Mom didn't come today, I honestly thought she would." I admit.
Shaking his head, he sighed. "I didn't. She has been against this from the beginning, maybe it's for the best that she isn't involved."
Although he said he was fine with the fact his mother was refusing to be a part of this, I knew that it was tearing him up on the inside. He was right, who would've thought this is where we would've ended up considering how we started. As his breathing became steady and deep, I rolled onto my back and stared at the ceiling, thinking about nothing and everything all at the same time.
I don't really know when I fell asleep but I was woken to a sharp kick to the ribs at around three AM. Jumping up I grabbed at my side and smiled.
My little boy was going to be a football player when he grows up.
I just know it."Are you ok, is it the baby?" Kaiden's hand rubbed my back, the sound of sleep still thick in his voice.
I shook my head, even though I knew he couldn't see. "Just a mighty kick, everything is fine. Go back to sleep."
Swinging my legs over the edge of the mattress, I stepped down onto the carpet as quietly as possibly to not wake a once again sleeping, Kaiden.
Frigid winter air bit at my bare cheeks as I took each step carefully down to the kitchen. I love this time of morning, everything is silent apart from the occasional sounds of night life outside. Flicking on the dim light in the kitchen I was startled as the figure of my brother, sitting with a mug in his hands, suddenly appeared.
