~Laura's POV~
The next morning as I walked through the school doors my heart was beating a million miles an hour. Today I would have to tell Kaiden that I'm pregnant and that he's the father. Weaving my way through a large groups of people standing in the hall, I finally got to my locker. Unpacking my bag I grabbed my English book and started in the direction of my first class.
A small, familiar head popped around the corner, a huge smile on its face. My best friend Lexi all but sprinted up to me before wrapping her short arms around my shoulder."Morning." I smile.
Giggling she releases my shoulder before falling into step beside me, "How was your weekend?"
"You don't want to know."
"Now I do! What happened you get arrested or something?" She squeaked, pulling me over to an abandoned seat.
Arching my brow, I glared at her. "Why does everyone think that?"
"Stop avoiding the question."
Sighing I sat down beside her and lowered my eyes, there is no way I can tell her this while looking her in the eyes. "I'm pregnant."
Her jaw drops and her eyes seem to bulge out of her head, if it was for different circumstances it would almost been funny.
"To who?" She asked quickly.
"Kaiden Hunter."
This time she laughs, like she can't believe a simple girl like me could get into bed with an ass hole like him.
"I'm impressed, not about you being pregnant but that you slept with someone to begin with."
"I've slept with someone before." I defended, crossing my arms across my chest.
Smiling, she nodded. "Yeah but you and Daniel were in a relationship for a year and a half, you were practically married. You and Kaiden Hunter on the other hand, totally didn't see that one coming."
"Me either." I admitted.
As if on cue Kaiden strolled down the hall with his band of ass holes close behind him. Turning his head his eyes snapped to mine for a moment before he disappeared around the corner. I didn't know when I should tell him but it had to be today, better now than never right? Quickly I jumped off the chair and quickly followed in the direction Kaiden had gone.
"Where are you going?" Lexi called.
"I'll see you at lunch." Was all I can get out before I rounded the corner and Lexi was out of sight.
Scanning my eyes around the hall way they eventually land on Kaiden, who was putting things in his locker. His dirty blonde hair hung limp in front of his face making it hard for him to see. I could see why girls drop their panties for him in a heart beat, he had broad shoulders and muscles to match.
The single silver ring through his nose just made him ten times more attractive, and it was that thought that landed me in the predicament I was now in. As if my mind and my body were on completely different levels, my legs start to walk towards him. Before I knew what I was doing, I was standing in front of him with no idea how to start this conversation, thankfully he started it for me."What do you want?"
Not really the greeting I was after but I guess I would have to go with it."I need to talk to you, it's important."
I look of worry clouds his eyes, as if he already knows the news I had to share is going to ruin his life.
"Okay go for it."
Closing my eyes I blurt, "I'm pregnant."
"Okay, what does that have to do with me?"
"You're the father."
As what I'd just said sinks in, his eyes widen and his jaw goes slack. Before I could get another word out he slams the door to his locker shut before turning and walking off down the hall, not looking back once.
My stomach dropped.
I couldn't start crying because people would wonder why and start asking questions, questions I was so not ready to answer.
I hadn't expected Kaiden to want to marry me but I had hoped he would want to at least be there for his child, but as I was just shown I was wrong. Turning around the bell for first period rang loudly above my head.Feeling completely alone and out of options I went to English hoping that Shakespeare could offer some sort of distraction. As I sat down and opened my text book I prayed that Kaiden would come to his senses, but that was like praying for rain in a drought.
A complete waste of time.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
