~Kaiden's POV~
"So how's Laura doing?" Julian asked before ducking back under the hood of a car.
"She's alright, she's about fifteen weeks along now."
"She showin?" He grunted.
I nodded even though I knew he couldn't see, "Yep, and now the whole school knows."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No well maybe, I'm not sure I'm ready for everyone to know." I admitted.
Julian pushed himself out from under the car and stared at me, "She's pregnant bro, people are going to find out."
"I know but-"
"But what?" He questioned, flicking his thick black hair out of his face.
"I don't know. Everything has just happened so fast, one day I was chilling with friends and hooking up with chicks and now."
"And now you're a soon to be dad. That's what you get for being stupid."
Running my hands over my face I collapsed against the wall, "I know and I want to be there for them."
"And you will be, don't put your kid through what your old man put you through."
"I'm not going to but I don't know how we are going to work this out. Her parents hate me."
My cousin laughed as he pushing himself off the ground and began walking towards me, "You blame them? You knocked their only daughter up, they aren't going to greet you with open arms."
"I know, where are we going to raise it though? We aren't even together."
"You don't have to be in a relationship to raise a baby."
"By it helps." I moaned. "She can't come live with me and Ma, could you even imagine that? Laura would have a heart attack if she met my mother."
"Listen kid," Julian said before sitting next to me, "I don't know what you're going to do but what I do know is that you will work here every day after school and on weekends. Save money for you, Laura and that baby then you will continue to work here until the day you die."
"Gee now that sounds enticing."
"This is life Kaiden, and it's a bitch." He laughed, "Now get off your ass and help me, I'm not paying you to sit and complain."
"Alright, alright I'm getting back to work."
Lifting myself off the ground I went back to pulling a car apart. Even with my cousins' reassurance that everything was going to be ok, I couldn't help but still feel like I was only just keeping my head above water.

"Hey Laura." I greeted before taking a seat beside her.
"Hi Kaiden, how have you been?"
"Ok and you? How's the baby?"
Smiling she looked down at her swollen stomach, "Fine and fine, everything is fine."
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner on Friday, you know to just hand out."
Laura's face dropped slightly, "Oh I can't Friday, I'm going out."
"Out? Where to?"
"Uh... just out." She mumbled, avoiding my eyes.
I watched as she fiddled uncomfortably with the sleeves of her shirt, she was keeping something from me and I had to find out what.
