yuna pov.

I practically live at HYBE headquarters. Snacking on chips in the hallways, sitting in on dance practices, hanging around the café all count as my daily chores. All I really want is for my father, the CEO, to notice that I'm begging for something real to do. I want to involve myself in the label somehow because spending daddy's money isn't enough fun for me.

I'm not a trainee, not an idol, not even a staff member. Just the boss's daughter.

It's seriously so boring, and I wish I was in charge so I can change some things.

Everyone knows the rules: no dating, no scandals, no distractions. So, it explains why nobody turns my way. Additionally, Dad forbids me from dating in the industry, which is so depressing! This is the only joint for a possible relationship; everybody is around my age!

My favorite place to kick and toss my hanging feet around is Practice Room 3, where this super hot girl group ITZY always practices. I try to legitimately be productive because I'm not allowed on my phone.

I bring coffee like some sort of maid, and if they ask me for an opinion, I give it.

They're my favorite show. Those girls are attractive, and who doesn't love feasting their eyes on hotties like that?

It saddens me that they don't speak to me.

Except for one member.

She was 24. I was 21, and yet I was head over heels for her like a kid who didn't know any better.

I lick my lips and blush at the sight of her. Shin Ryujin. Without thinking, I smooth my tangled hair, like I'm caught in the earliest phase of something I can't name yet.

She's currently staring at me behind her through the wall's dance mirror.

Her dancing had me stoked, and undeniably she's the best, even if there's facts. She's also a very difficult person from what I hear and see.

I gently bite my finger, then I hop off the table and stride outside as if I'm suggesting her to follow me. Even if the room is dark. I vanish like a whisper.

Coincidentally, their routine ends just as I step out. I specifically wait for Ryujin to exit, and low and behold she does. She's the only one to pop out of the door, sweat clinging to her skin as she wears her tracksuit like it's a signature look.

She pretends not to see me seated as she descends down the hall. This cool little girl might also be lost, but that's no problem.

I know exactly how to reel her in.

I rolled my eyes with nothing to do except write our possible script in my head. It had to have been an hour until she finally came back.

As she drags her feet past me, she begins what can either become a conversation or a scuffle. "Someone likes to stare."

"Hmm?"

"You like to look at people. Is that all you do?"

I seriously cannot tell if this is the first impression she gives everybody. Still, I stand my ground because not all hot girls can get their way like that.

"Only some."

A wide smile blasts her cheeks. "Mm. Yuna, right?"

"Yeah." I copy her expression and dig my nails into my forearm, nerves crawling under my skin. And the moment that leaves my mouth, not another word comes out. This is the first time somebody's ever really talked to me since forever.
