Her arms tilted upward, wrapping around my neck as she pulled in for partly greetings and partly something a little more.

She smelled like peaches and vanilla as I felt around her waist.

"Hey!" I cheered with a warm smile. I found her heartbeat skyrocketing when I cupped her hip for a fleeting moment.

"You finally made it!"

I glanced up at the tequila on the producer desk then peeked down at her. "Yeah, what's up? How are you?" We let go, and I eventually finished shaking hands with the rest of the crew, meeting everybody as did my own producer and manager.

"Good, good. Congratulations on 500 million streams on your song!"

"Thank you! It's crazy, huh?"

"I'm down for you to reach it again. You ready to get this started?"

"Yeah! How far are we?"

"We actually completed it," she said.

"Oh, I didn't know that." I gave out a sigh of relief and wiped my forehead clean. "Is it just the verse we're missing?"

"Yeah..." Chaeryeong sat down at the producer's desk, her legs crossing over as she lifted them onto the surface. "You were supposed to come earlier, but... things came up."

I followed her, examining their studio and recording setup. "Yeah, no worries, though." I turned behind my back and heard the professionals chatting—nothing about the song but about their degrees. "Um, will we really need them?"

Chaeryeong followed my line of sight and pouted, unconvinced. "Not really... If they're bothering you, I can get them all out."

"Oh, I was just kidding, but it won't be as much a distraction." I pulled up a large rolling chair and threw myself on it. "I honestly get more nervous when my guys are watching me."

A small smile graces her lips and drew her face to the floor. "I get it..." Hands fiddling with their own, she called out for her manager. "Wonyoung, get everyone to the lounge, please."

As they were handling that, I rolled beside Chaeryeong, who was typing away on her laptop. "I've been wanting to call you back, but I was busy, too."

"It's fine. I was around my team for a while. We had recordings, then an interview, then I attended a show... flying everywhere."

"I see. Well..." I crept my hand across her upper back and stood up. "There won't be a problem tonight."

Her eyes strolled upward to meet up with mine along with an irresistible pout that appeared natural on her. She smirked brightly and tugged on my hoodie's pocket. "You're going to stay up here all night with me."

"I planned on something like that." I brought my arms up to touch the sky, skin receiving the cool air flow as I stretched my spine. I noticed she peeped at my stomach, so I didn't allow a second further just to tease.

"Did you?"

I curled my way into the vocal booth with a fat grin on my face. "Yeah." With an innocent wink, I stand in front of the mic and slip the headphones on, preparing to sing my verse I'd been preoccupied on for the longest time.

Both us and our writers worked hard to make it sound as clever and deep as it does emotional. Our collaboration had been on hold, perfecting the solo pieces before she finished the album off with a feature. I was more excited to hang out with her than to sing for her.
