"Is your girlfriend here?" I ask Chaeryeong, throwing an arm around her shoulder as the beat bounces off the walls. My eyebrow pops up as I grin slyly.

She lowers her red cup, giving me a side-eye. "No, why?" Her eyes narrow while I laugh, stepping back with a wide stance, running a hand through my messy hair.

"I'm just wondering why she didn't come! It's Halloween!" I chug the mixtures of alcoholic beverages I dared to consume earlier, feeling incredible and as well as nauseous.

Chaeryeong looks me up and down. "Are you drunk?"

I raise my cup, smirking. "Maybe? Just a little. Is it a problem?"

She rolls her eyes, taking a sip. "You're a mess."

"I don't care. What I really want to make a mess out of are these girls in these sexy-ass costumes."

"And I'll be watching you from afar. I don't even wanna be seen by you."

I scoff and stagger off near the staircase where ladies were grouping by. I was specifically fixated on a group of girls, a fluffle of bunnies bouncing around, freshmen or not. I had no idea who they were, but I knew I wanted a piece of it.

"Hey," I slur, my lips curling into a smirk. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing," she shoots back, giving me a dirty look.

I bite my lip, leaning in. "Wanna come upstairs with me?"

She just walks away.

"Do you at least know how to get undrunk?!" I yell after her, stumbling slightly as she disappears. I'm so intoxicated that I can't think of an appropriate conversation.

I shake my head aggressively, drawing the attention of everyone around me off the pile of puke on the floor. That'll be me if I don't make out with someone.

I pull myself together and glance up to see a girl watching me. She stands alone, dressed in a revealing maid outfit. With a grin, I make my way toward her, trying to act as casual as possible. She could suspect that I'm drunk, but I'm a genius.

She's wearing some mask, so she can't tell anyway.

I smile warmly while my eyes glue to her chest. "How's the party?"

"Huh?" She comes closer in order to hear me over the music.

"I said, how's the party."

She nods her head and hugs her elbows. "Oh, it's... good."

"Is this your first one?"

"Um, not really. My friends want me to party more often because I only get out with my girlfriend. Right now, they're in the kitchen getting us drinks."

My heart skips a beat as I wonder if I won the lottery. "Your girlfriend didn't come?"

She grins happily. "Oh, no. She's taking her little brother trick-or-treating as we speak."

"And your name?"

"Jisu, but I go by Lia."

I whisper, "Jisu..."

"Yeah, and what's your name?"

"Yuna, Shin Yuna. I drank a little," I groan, "but I can afford something light with your friends if that's cool."

"Yeah, sure."

Eventually, they showed up but soon left Lia and me alone to head to the living room's makeshift dance floor.
