yuna pov.

"Lia!" I call out to my girlfriend as I admire the scenery past my porch. The street was soaked and so was the front yard. I prop myself with my palms to get a closer look and wonder if she's even listening to me. I turn and she's literally behind me!

Lia, my girlfriend of four years, crept up on me like a little rat. She planted her hands onto the backsides of mine and kissed my neck to tranquilize me. "Yes?"

I gasp. "You scared me," I admit, my voice trembling. With a giggle, I face the soggy green again. "Look how hard it's raining right now."

"Is it really?" Lia purrs, brushing her nose along my ear.

"Yes... We should go outside!" I cheer.

She steps away and takes my hand into hers. "Oh, I don't want us to get sick now," she chuckles, kindly denying and reminding me of risks.

I cup her face, pulling her closer. "God, this is why I love you," I say before kissing her, then frowning slightly. "But we can go have fun once in a while."

She whines softly, wrapping her arms around me. "I'm serious."

"But you're my baby. And I want us to go. It'll be like a cold, cold shower."

She sighs, giving in. "Okay. Fine. But you have to keep me warm."

I burst out laughing and tug her out the door by the shirt. "How do you want me to do that?"

"You know how."

I raise a curious brow. "Hmm?" It can mean many things. The moment we're down the steps and standing in the driveway, I grab her by the shoulders, turn her to face me, and press a kiss to her lips.

She leans forward to continue the chain, but I swerve her.

"Uh-uh. You only get one."

"Why just one?" she husks, our faces just inches apart.

I wrap my arms around her neck in a tight hug, directing us to the road full of puddles in slow circles. "Because..." I shiver, not only from where her hands are placed, but from how I seriously underestimated the cold.

The raindrops land on our heads and arms, each droplet portraying an icicle.

Her eyes narrow and she bites her lip like she wants a piece of me. "Because?" A small smile tugs at her lips, the corners creasing gradually.

"Because... Um. I'm cold."

"Are you really?" She lifts her eyebrows.

My whole body folds, and I quickly hide my face, turning toward her arm. I grumble, "Stop looking at me like that," my stomach churning, flushed.

"Sorry," she drones and rocks us carefully. "Do you need my jacket?"

"No, I like it."

"You should."

We lock eyes, our noses merely inches apart. I nip my lip and steal a glance at hers before leaning in to kiss her.

It's a lovely, soft, and delightful kiss. Nothing too dirty nor quick. I tilted my head over to suck her mouth, then pulled away to squeeze her close.

"I'm so happy you're spending the night," I said.

"I'm just glad your mom allowed it. I'd eat your face off in the living room if it weren't for her."
