Chapter Nineteen
The Plan Man

❝What can I say? I'm dramatic.❞

NOW THAT WUKONG was free from the scroll, it was time to set a plan to defeat Azure Lion and save the world. You and the others gathered in Monkey King's house in Flower Fruit Mountain in order to set a good plan to end this mess.

Wukong stood in front of everyone with a smile on his face, "Okay! Monkey class is in session." When he said that, you rolled your eyes at his over confidence. However, you were glad that he was back to his usual self again... you won't admit it out loud though. You just leaned on the wall, arms crossed over your chest as you listened to the group interact. You were thankful that they didn't indulge you in their conversation, you weren't interested any way.

"So, you gonna tell us how you beat your old sworn brothers that hate you now, or what?" Pigsy questioned, earning him a glare from Wukong.

"Do you want me to throw crayons at you? 'Cause I have a whole box." Monkey King warned Pigsy, pulling out a crayon box from his pocket, "That's what I thought." Wukong then proceeded to explain about each one of your old companions, pointing at their doodles by using a crayon, "Now, listen up! If we're gonna beat Azure, Yellowtusk, and Peng, you've all got some learning to do. Peng is the most dangerous foe any of you have ever faced but the only thing they care about more than fighting is self-preservation. The moment the battle looks like it's turning against them, they'll flee." He started first with Peng who you hate the most.

"Peng's the worst." Mei spoke up to which you mentally agreed to.

"Yellowtusk is tough, smart, and faster than he looks. He was a handful even before he had your weapons. But he's not a monster. Maybe we can make him see reason." Wukong continued his explanation.

"That's not a super solid plan." Tang pointed out with a hint of concern. Just then, Mei raised her hand up, "Uh, excuse me. Well, what about Azure?" She asked him which earned her a chuckle from Wukong.

"Nothing gets under his skin more than a monkey. Leave Azure to Mk and me."

"Azure won't admit it but he has a thirst for revenge. Truth is, he's gonna be on Wukong like a bad smell. Like Wukong doesn't stink bad enough already." You finally talked that it startled Pigsy and Tang, insulting Wukong in front of everyone. Monkey King sent a glare to you, but didn't dare to do anything like throwing a crayon like how he did with Ne Zha, "Hey! I got the crayon, I do the sayin'! But don't worry. I almost beat the Jade Emperor single-handed once. Between both of us, Azure doesn't stand a chance." He stated as he directed his speech to Mk who smiled with determination. The Lotus Prince let out a deep sigh, "Wukong, he has the Scroll of Memory. With it, he defeated the combined Armies of Heaven! So long as Azure has the scroll in his grasp, we don't stand a chance." He proclaim which actually true. As long as Azure had the scroll, there was nothing that can stop him.

He can just trap everyone in there and it will be over before it could even start.

"What if we get it out of his grasp?" Mk suggested something that was almost impossible.

"Yeah, sure. If we can do that impossible thing, yeah." Ne Zha sarcastically replied and that made Wukong throw another crayon strongly at him, making him along with Pigsy and Tand fall back with the couch.

"Great! Sounds like Ne Zha's on board." Mk declared.

Wukong suddenly cleared his throat to earn everyone's attention again, "Okay. So we all know I'm the greatest teacher in all of history." The moment he said that, you immediately facepalmed and mumbled a low 'This guy' under your breath. He was just so full of himself, "But my plan making..." Wukong trailed off, trying to find a good way to describe his horrible plan-making skills.

"Is the worst!" Mei finished for him.

"Okay. Hurtful. I was gonna say "needs improvement." Either way, Imma hand this over to a pro." Wukong then tossed the crayon to Mk, "You're up, kiddo."

"What? Wh-Why me?"

"'Cause you're the Plan Man, man!"

"Oh yeah. Give us one "Mk master plan special" to go!" Pigsy encouraged the boy with a proud smile. Mk was hesitant for a moment before he finally agreed, gathering his friends in a team huddle. Meanwhile, you and Ne Zha just stood back and decided to listen from afar, "Ne Zha's right. While Azure's got the Jade Emperor's power and the scroll, there's no way we could beat him head-on." Mk started to form the plan.

"I mean, some of us could beat him. One of us, specifically." Wukong said, referring to himself.

"Nope, none of us at all. But... if we can get our hands on that scroll, we won't need to."

"You want to use the Scroll of Memory against him?" Tang pointed out.

"Exactly. If we can trap Azure, Peng, and Yellowtusk inside the scroll, it'll be like none of this never happened. We'll just kick this can right on down the ol' half marathon. Step 1: Break into the Celestial Realm again using Sandy's awesome new blimp."

"Uh... it wasn't really built to be a team vehicle. It's more of a-" Sandy wanted to say something, but Mk cut him off.

"Sounds like you're all over it, Sandy. Next: We gotta get that scroll away from Azure. If we get trapped in that thing, then it's all over."

"But there's no way Peng and Yellowtusk will let us get anywhere near Azure." Tang spoke up, knowing very well that they had to do something about Yellowtusk and Peng. Mk chuckled because he was prepared, "So, we'll keep 'em distracted. While A Team and B Team keep Yellowtusk and Peng busy, Monkey King and I can work on getting the scroll away from Azure." He resumed his explanation. Both Mei and Pigsy discussed something that wasn't important and irrelevant to the plant.

"Once we've got the scroll, we'll free all our friends trapped inside, schlurp up the bad guys, and lock this baby up tight so they can never make us face our nightmares again."

The smile Mk had on his face wasn't confident. In fact, it was more anxious and unsettling, "We're all gonna die." Tang stated as a matter of fact while Ne Zha nodded in agreement. Just then, Mei stood up, making everyone look at her, "Oh! Okay. Take everything MK just said, but hear me out. Every time we've gone into a final fight, we've basically winged it without a real plan. But it's like Subodhi said, that won't be enough this time. We need to wait for the moment to strike!" Mei explained.

"But Azure ain't gonna just wait around for us to attack. If he's got as much of a grudge against Monkey King as Y/N says he does, he's just gonna come and attack us first!" Pigsy pointed out.

"Exactly! By not attacking, he'll think we're not ready for him. But he'll be wrong! The plan is to make it look like there is no plan at all! When really, we're already doing the plan! Mk's plan!"

"Yeah, boy!" Mk exclaimed with excitement.

"A Team and B Team will keep Peng and Yellowtusk busy. Monkey Team will get under Azure's skin, and annoy him enough so that when he's distracted, he won't know he's lost the scroll until it's too late."

And just like that, the plan was slightly reformed and changed just so that you all could earn a certain victory.
