❝What can I say? I'm dramatic.❞
YOU AND MEI WERE the first ones to arrive to Shuilian Cave, it was miserable there. Golden chains floated everywhere, holding pieces of the cave. A powerful wind blew in all directions making you and Mei shield yourselves with your arms.
The first thing that came to your mind was Wukong, you didn't see him around and hoped that he was alright. Things weren't good at all and the cracks in the sky got worse. After a few minutes, the other group joined you, followed by Yellowtusk. It was odd to see an enemy aiding you all, but you didn't question it for now. You knew he will be dealt with later. As you all struggled against the wind, Wukong flew past you to the cave, "Wukong..." You called his name in your head, noticing the Scroll of Memory in his hand.
"This is a risk to take the scroll to Azure. Don't mess this up, Wukong."
A couple of minutes later, the cracks started to close and you could hear Azure's loud scream as if he was struggling to use the power of the Jade Emperor, "You're doing it!" Mei cheered with excitement as she jumped up. As much ad you wanted to feel relieved that this was finally over, something in your heart told you that it wasn't over just yet, "Something is not right..." You thought, feeling obnoxious.
Just then, Tang moved forward and slammed his staff down, using his power to piece the Shuilian Cave back together. It was clear that it was difficult for Tang to handle it alone, so his friends moved to help him with their power. However, this wasn't enough either. Shockingly, Yellowtusk joined them to help. It was just like how Wukong said, Yellowtusk will help if he saw reason. You didn't to want to be left out, so you decided to help as well.
You summoned your staff and held it out to channel your energy out. You all slammed your weapons down together in one go, helping to fix everything. Little by little, the chains started to close until the cave was repaired and everything was back to normal. Once the threat was gone, the Monkie Kids rushed to check on Mk. You sighed and followed them with Yellowtusk behind you. A small smile tugged on your lips upon seeing that the kid was alright and unharmed. You then felt a pair of eyes looking at you and when you looked up, you saw Monkey King staring at you.
You two held eye contact for a few moments before you averted your gaze away, you weren't ready to confront him just yet. Now that this fight was over, your presence was no longer needed here. Thus, the moment everyone began to leave, you opened a shadow portal and stepped into it, teleporting to your dojo. A deep sigh left your lips as you clenched your fists tightly.
"You're so hopeless, Wukong."

Days passed after the battle, you hadn't met Wukong since that event. You didn't even go to Flower Fruit Mountain at all, you decided to just give up hope on Wukong because he never bothered to check on you or even reach out to you.
You were working back in the theater just to waste time since you had nothing to do, you felt glad that they rebuild it. Your life was such a boring daily routine. You still hang out with Bai He, the girl was pretty adorable if you were being honest. She would visit you in the theater just to watch your show. Unfortunately, Bai He couldn't visit today due to school which made your day really boring. Anyway, you were meditating when your ears twitched upon hearing a faint sound coming from your door. You cracked one eye open and saw a piece of paper under your doorstep.
You stood up and went to the paper, picking up to see its content. You unfolded the paper and started to read what was written inside.

What's up, Y/N?
I wanted to tell you that I'm holding a beach party at Flower Fruit Mountain tomorrow. I didn't really want to invite you, but Mk insisted so badly. It's up to you if you want to come. For me, I don't want you to there because I know your introvert self doesn't like socializing... or whatever. Hope to not see your face!
Yours truly. SWK <3

Your eye twitching in annoyance at how blunt Wukong was, "He really doesn't know how to lie or consider others' feelings." You mumbled and crumbled the paper in your hand. You knew it wasn't Mk that made him send this invite, he did it. He was just too prideful to tell you straight to join the party. Either way, you needed a change and get out of this daily routine. So, you decided to go there.
"It's not my thing, but I need to get out more."
And just like that, you went to prepare yourself for the abomination of a party.
-TIME SKIP-
You had just reached to the party, seeing that the entire group was there. Even the Demon Bull King family was invited, no wonder Wukong wanted you to attend. You didn't wear anything revealing, just a pair of shorts and a pink shirt. You were like usual standing away from the crowd, this for sure wasn't suitable for you.
"You gotta let it absorb first! Sunscreen needs to absorb!"
You heard Monkey King scream after Mk who dashed at the water. You sighed deeply and went there right after Wukong laid down on the beach chair, pulling the umbrella to to block the sun. Wukong grumbled when he no longer felt the sun heat, "Yo, kinda blocking out the sun there!" He complained and lowered his sunglasses just to see you standing there which made him groan in annoyance, "Ugh... it's you." He stated, totally trying to act unimpressed, but deep down he was glad you came.
"Cute. Thanks for the invite, by the way." You nonchalantly replied and sat on the othet chair next to him, preferred the shadow.
"And thanks for showing up, even though you were not invited!"
You didn't know why, but his words hurt you a bit. Still, you didn't show it and remained calm. Wukong noticed that you didn't retort or argue you back, so he did the simplest thing he could. He held a peach popsicle near your face, making you flinch a bit. You were unsure at first and then accepted it, "You know this is the calm before the storm, right?" You told him, keeping your gaze at the melting popsicle.
"Yeah, I know. But, that can be a tomorrow problem. Whatever they're scheming, we can handle it." Wukong stated and returned to relax. You looked at him when he said 'we', did he mean that he wanted you in the next adventure? Despite everything, you just hoped that he really meant it. You turned your head to watch the kids playing in the water, "You can return to Flower Fruit Mountain, Y/N. I don't mind you coming back." Wukong suddenly said that it surprised you.
"It will be... nice having you back here."
When you turned around, you could see that there was a small blush on his face as he avoided looking into your eyes. Returning to Flower Fruit Mountain was a big decision, but you were glad that Wukong had finally said it.
