BEING RESTRAINED wasn't actually something you appreciated or liked, Xiangliu and Mk were the only ones free. The young boy had his staff out because he couldn't trust this demon and what he could do in case he let his guards down.

Mk held the staff tightly in his hands, "Let them go!" He demanded firmly and changed to his monkey form. Xiangliu who had his back facing Mk suddenly appeared behind him, taking the boy off guard, "I'm not good at this indeed..." As he said that, Mk swiftly turned around and swung his staff at Xiangliu. However, the nine-headed demon quickly dodged and appeared a few steps away from Mk, "This is all your conspiracy!" Mk accused Xiangliu.

"Yes."

"It was you who stole the memory scroll! It was you who took advantage of Azure, to..."

Mk suddenly stopped when he felt the demon behind him again, "That's right, the Jade Empreror should rest, right? Azure worked hard,but I'm also very busy. I have been planning this for a long, long time." Xiangliu said with a sly smirk on his face, moving to stand back-to-back with Mk. Mk didn't make any attempts to attack and just stood still, "You're a monster..." He uttered, earning him a growl from Xiangliu.

"No, I'm not." He replied as one of the snakes on his head hissed alarmingly.

"Look at you... the crimes you committed! Everyone was used by you, Everyone was been harmed by you!"

"I ALREADY SAID I'M NOT MONSTER!"

Xiangliu's yell of fury rang through the temple, using his chaotic powers to drag Mk across the temple floor then pinned him on the wall like you all. You knew you had to do something about this, you needed to get Mk away from this guy before things could get worse. So, you focused on your powers to surrender your right hand with shadows. You could feel that it was working, but the process was a bit slow. You also didn't want Xiangliu to notice your attempts of breaking free.

Your gaze shifted when you heard Xiangliu who was somehow standing on the wall above Mk's head, "Well, let's tell a story while we still have time. There was once a group of people living in caves. They have never seen the sun before, but they knew that there is sunlight. And they were afraid of it. They regarded everything out of the darkness as "evil". One day one of them walked out of the cave. At that moment, he felt the sunshine and knew the beauty that came from it. He also uncovered that the world is much bigger than the cave! But he also knew that he had to go back to the cave, he couldn't leave the others and enjoy this alone. So he said to them: "Let's go out! and enjoy the sunshine together!" But people called him "the devil". They didn't believed that the world outside the cave is good. Not much better than the cave. So they stayed in the cave, He's seen the sun, seen the chaos, seen freedom!and he couldn't get out. He's seen the sun, seen the chaos, seen freedom! BUT HE'S BACK!" He suddenly exclaimed and slammed his fist right next to Mk's face, "He was tired of being a hero." After a few moments, he calmed down and let go of Mk, "I... I'm sorry Mk if I did do anything wrong." He added and offered his hand to help Mk stand up.

Suddenly, Mk gasped as if he remembered something, "It... turned out to be you! It was you who woke me up!" He exclaimed, standing abruptly then took a step back. Xiangliu scoffed and started to act innocent, "It was only matter of time before you would've be awaken. l just hoped you could feel more! Instead of following the established path, just sacrifing, just accepting fate!" His voice was laced with venom and hatred, but it was unclear toward who.

Anyway, your plan had worked and you managed to free yourself from your restraints. You were about to free your mouth, but Xiangliu felt the disturbance your power caused and pinned your arm to the wall again. Nevertheless, you could see that your energy had effected him somehow, "There's no turning back! Whatever you choose, it has nothing to do with me. As long as it's your own choice! My last mission in this world is to let you control your own destiny! Your friends can't do it, people in heaven can't do it, and she can't do it either!" Xiangliu exclaimed, glaring at Nuwa's statue. Seconds later, he managed to calm down again, "I'll break you out of the cage." He said in an assuring way, placing his hand on Mk's shoulder.

The young teen scoffed and pushed Xiangliu's hand away, "I only have one choice." He said and the demon sighed, giving you all the freedom to talk.

"This chatterbox finally shut up! Are you done?!" Pigsy spoke up first with anger.

"He's full of nonsense! don't listen to him Mk!" Tang joined him.

"What sacrifices are needed? What is he supervising?" You questioned before averting your gaze to Wukong, seeing a genuine concern for the boy.

"I haven't completely repaired the Pillar of Heaven yet." Mk confessed as he felt bad for not telling his friends the truth.

"What? but... Isn't it said that as long as you collect the five-colored stones, you can repair it?" Mei asked then looked up at Wukong who seemed to understand something. Mk lowered his gaze down, "It needs me. This is my destiny." He spoke up rather calmly, placing his hand on his chest.

"The stone from which MK was born was created by Nuwa. That was in the beginning of the chaos. Just like the five-colored stones, he's the finale." Xiangliu explained briefly.

Wukong's eyes widened with fear, "No!- There must be another way! There must be another way!" He retorted loudly, refusing to believe what he had heard from the demon. Still, Xiangliu wasn't fazed by Wukong's aggression and just continued his explanation, "If he doesn' fix the Pillar of Heaven, it he will be destroyed along with everything else. If he sacrifices himselft for justice, the gods will help him to repair it."

"What will happen to Mk?" Mei asked with worry, her eyes never leaving her best friend's figure.

"This world is really precious, isn't it? The only way to keep this world alive, keeping everyone alive, is if I... no longer exist."

With that being said, Mk changed to his monkey form again and jumped to the pillar. None of you were able to do anything, all you had to do was just watch him sacrifice himself to save the world.
