Chapter Twenty-Five
The Warrior's Sacrifice

❝See, I've had a taste of dying, and you know what? Not a big fan.❞

AFTER BUSYING NE Zha with Mk's and Wukong's clones, the three of you made a run for it to escape the Celestial Realm. You knew it won't be easy since the guards definitely knew about your escape abd prevent it.

Running through a maze of hallways, you reached outside to escape. You and Wukong made it safely without getting any hits, but Mk... he just rolled his way out and hit the ground more than one time. He went as far as reaching the edge and almost fell down, but Wukong caught him just in time, "C'mon, kid!" Monkey King quickly grabbed Mk and all of you resumed your escape. However, the Celestial guards began chasing after you.

"It's always like this when you come here!" You told Wukong with a scoff on your face, earning you a laugh from the monkey. More guards came from the front as if to corner you three, "That's far enough, prisoners!" The leader exclaimed and pointing his sword in a threatening way. Wukong had on a mischievous smirk while you looked completely unamused, "Heh. This guy thinks he's the main character." As Wukong said that, you two launched at the guards to get them off your way.

You appeared behind the leader and tripped him, giving the opportunity for Monkey King to slam him down and take his sword, "Oh my Great Sage!" Mk exclaimed while freaking out. The rest of the guards weren't that hard to deal with, so you three continued to run away, "We have to get out of here." Mk spoke up between the pants, looking panicking.

"Yeah, but you're really not gonna like how we do it."  With that being said. Wukong shoved you and Mk to fall down, "Alley-oop!"

"SUN WUKONG!" You shouted with anger.

Wukong used the sword in his hand and threw it past you and Mk, opening a portal to take you to the human world. You surely made it there, falling right next to Pigsy's Noodles. Both Mk and Wukong fell on the big truck while you opened a shadow portal to land safely then hopped out of it.

"Mk! Good of you to show up for work.... eight hours late!" Pigsy screamed at Mk with pure frustration because the boy didn't show up to work. Mk was really nervous since he was afraid that the Celestial guards might come at anytime, "Yeah, we have to go." Mk said with an anxious smile.

"Does that have anything to do with the ominous cracks being back?" Tang who was eating noodles questioned with a raised eyebrow, pointing at the sky that was cracking like the previous time. Wukong wrapped an arm around Mk's shoulders, pulling into a side hug, "It's okay. We've got a plan." He stated confidently as if he got everything was under control. You scoffed deeply, knowing that Wukong didn't know what he was saying, "Oh, do we? Huh! We don't even know if these magical pillar healing stones exist." You uttered with a hint of sarcasm which made Wukong glare at you, so you glared back.

Mk moved away from you two, "What if going after the stones is just.. another tricky plan by some tricky plan demon... like i-i-if this is exactly what they want? What if we really are... chaos?" The boy sounded hesitant, his mind started to believe what Li Jing and those kings said. You and Wukong stopped glaring and turned to Mk, "Listen, bud. The only thing I know for sure is, I don't trust anyone who isn't standing here right now." Wukong started, trying to assure his successor then turned to the others, "If those stones are important, the safest place for them is with us." He added.

"Uh, what stones?" Pigsy asked in puzzlement.

Just then, a bunch of portals from the Celestial Realm appeared from the sky, "Feels like we're still missing some pretty important information!" Tang pointed out upon seeing the portals.

"We're... sorta on the run from the Celestial Realm." Mk confessed.

"What?!" Pigsy exclaimed.

"We can explain everything." After Mk said that, Celestial Guards appeared around everyone, "Later! We can explain later!" He corrected himself quickly since there was no time to explain. Mei came beside Mk and leaned to tell him something, "Oh, probably wish you hadn't smashed up Sandy's new truck, right Mk?" The girl stated which made Mk laugh nervously when he saw the destroyed truck and summon his staff.

"Here comes Monkie Kid!"

Mk used his powers and upgraded the truck to escape from the guards, "Everybody, in!" Mei urged everyone to get into the truck which they did. You were going with them when Li Jing appeared and used his power to tighten the circlet around Wukong's head. Monkey King collapsed on the ground, groaning in pain, "Wukong!" You exclaimed with a hint of worry.

"This foolishness is over."

Mk rushed to help his mentor, but his form was flickering a lot based on his feeling of anger. So you rushed to Li Jing and slapped his hand to stop the spell on Wukong, "Kid, go save the world." You spoke up without looking at them, opening a portal to take them to the truck.

"What?"

"No, Y/N!"

After ensuring that both Mk and Wukong were away, you leaped high in the air and summoned your Smoke Monster with a few clones, launching at Li Jing to attack first. However, Li Jing used his Pagoda and trapped you inside, sealing you in with the other demons. You knew what you did was reckless, but it was needed to distract Li Jing so that Mk and the others could escape to find the five colored stones. You just hoped that your sacrifice wouldn't go to waste... Mk must save the world before it was too late.
