michael

Burdened with a terrible hangover, Michael could not deal with the strenuousness of getting out of bed and then going downstairs to eat and drink something.

He wanted to try and recall what had happened last night but he had a migraine, as well as fatigue and drowsiness, and everything was a blur after he left the bar.

But at least he wasn't throwing up.

Five minutes after waking up, Michael finally moved from the position he had awoken in and grabbed his phone from the bedside table.

It took three attempts for him to get his passcode right because of his lack of concentration.

He opened up his messages, hoping that this would help him with his slight amnesia.

10:45am
from Autumn: why are you asking me that??

Michael raised his eyebrows in confusion and scrolled up to see the text he had sent whilst drunk.

3:11am
to Autumn: whYd yOU go oN aa DATEG wiTH lUKKE do YUOuu like HIIIM??)82

Even though it was jumbled, it was decipherable and Autumn had clearly understood it.

1:43pm
To Autumn: sorry about that text I was wasted and had no idea what was going on

Michael buried his head in his hands, letting out an exaggerated sigh.

Times like these made him never want to have alcohol again.

Obviously, he wouldn't do that but he would at least have less next time.

When Michael heard his text tone, he didn't think he even had the energy to reply.

1:45pm
from Autumn: Oh right. Have you got a hangover?

1:46pm
to Autumn: yeah and it's awful ughhg

In Michael's current state, he would have been perfectly fine with staying in bed and texting Autumn all day.

1:47pm
from Autumn: want me to come nurse you

Of course Michael wanted that.

His parents were on the other side of the world for their friend's wedding so they couldn't help him and it they were there they would give him a lecture about "being an adult" and they would use the word "independent" a lot.

Michael wasn't always a very independent person and on the first day when his parents had left, he ordered three takeaways instead of cooking.

Everything else in his house he could do but when it came to cooking he was inept.

1:47pm
to Autumn: please I don't think I can even stand up

1:48pm
from Autumn: lol I'll be there in ten minutes

1:49pm
to Autumn: cyaaaa

Unsure of if Autumn was actually serious and was on her way to his house, Michael tried to gather the strength to get out of bed.

After nearly falling over twice, he reached the five drawers that sat by the window of his room and pulled out some sweatpants and a shirt.

He wanted to go around his house in just his boxers but there was a likely chance that Autumn could knock on the door so he didn't think it was very appropriate.

Once changed, Michael had to, due to his slight dizziness, walk down the stairs slowly and with caution.

The feeling of exhaustion he had wasn't the needing sleep kind it was the completely drained of any energy kind.
