autumn
Autumn brought her hands to Luke's hair, lacing her fingers through his locks as the kiss deepened.
Their lips seemed to mold together perfectly and she could feel the slight tingle from the coldness of his lip ring.
The kiss was tender but passionate and somehow helped her clear her mind completely.
Just as the toast was done, their lips parted, and they both brought their arms back to their sides.
(I WAS SO TEMPTED TO GO STRAIGHT TO KITCHEN SEX LMAO)
After Luke buttered the toast and placed the slices on two plates, they went back to the living room and sat down.
-
"Is it okay if you drop me off at ten?" Autumn asked, wiping the crumbs off her and putting her empty plate on the table.
"Yeah of course." Luke stood up, rubbing the back of his jeans with his hands. "I'm going to go shower, feel free to explore this tiny apartment."
He planted a kiss on her cheek, gave her a wide smile and then left the room.
Autumn put on episode of Skins to distract herself from the thoughts that seemed to be creeping back.
As the title sequence played, she realized she had forgotten to take her medication last night and although one pill didn't have an effect on her, she still didn't want to take any chances.
She quickly grabbed them from her bag, went over to the kitchen and filled a glass half way with water.
Then she swallowed the pill, gulped down the water and returned to the living room.
Just as she was about sit down, she heard her ringtone.
She grabbed it from the table and not bothering to look at who was calling, she answered it and placed it to her ear.
"Autumn, I need your help," Eva said frantically down the phone.
"What's up?" Autumn yawned, taking a seat and pulling one of the blanket over her body.
"I met this guy and I don't have his number but I still want to talk to him but I only know his name and what he looks like."
"Uh...okay?"
Autumn was confused as to how she could help or even why Eva was telling her this.
"You've been to that bar before with me. Did you meet anyone called Michael?"
As there had been quite a few coincidences that week, Autumn guessed that the Michael her friend had met was also the Michael she knew.
"Yeah."
"Really?" Eva said gleefully. "Does he have purple hair that's also blue an-"
"Yeah."
"Is that the guy who's house y-"
"Yeah." Autumn didn't want to seem peevish but she didn't know what else to say. Images of the nightmare were taking dominance of her thoughts again and she didn't know how to get rid of them.
Honestly, all she wanted to do was kiss Luke again because for those few seconds her mind was relaxed - and also because he was a good kisser.
"Oh shit. Never mind then," Eva laughed.
"I haven't got dibs, Eva. I'm dating someone else anyway."
"You are?"
"Yeah."
"Wow, I've missed a lot. Nate told me you called. Sorry, I was hungover."
"It's fine. I'll text you his number if you want."
Autumn gazed down at the carpet, her mind reeling back to when she was sat on Michael's couch, his head resting resting on her shoulder as they listened to music.
"Thanks. I'll talk to later," Eva said quickly before ending the call.
Sighing, Autumn sent Michael's number to Eva and then checked her messages.
from Jenna: do u know a guy with dyed hair called michael because he won't shut up about youAutumn tilted her head in confusion at her phone screen and then remembered Jenna had been at the bar with Eva that Michael was at.
8:31am
to Jenna: yeah what was he saying? She hoped it wasn't anything bad.
from Michael: my wish is for you to come see catfish & the bottlemen with me if they come hereDespite her slight despondency, a small smile formed on Autumn's face after reading that message.
8:32am
to Michael: you're not supposed to tell someone your wish or it won't come trueShe locked her phone, placing it back on the table and then laid back on the couch, letting the TV show calm her thoughts.
-
"Are you alright?" Luke's voice brought Autumn back to reality after she had zoned out, her head rested against the cool car window.
He glanced over at her repeatedly, awaiting a response.
"I'm fine. I-I was just daydreaming," She said, sitting up in her seat and looking at Luke.
But she wasn't fine. The perturbable nightmare consumed her thoughts and it scared her, to say the least.

Autumn told Charlie what had happened in her nightmare and how she talked to Ashton.
This led to thirty minutes of interrogation where it became clear that, just like her mother, Charlie had uncertainties about her rekindled friendship with Ashton.
"The past has passed," She told Autumn. "And he is a part of that past."
"I-I know but he was my best friend and well, you know what happened." Autumn looked down at the floor, fiddling with her bracelet frantically
"Do you still feel that way ab-"
"No. Two years is a long time."
"Okay." Charlie placed one of her legs over the other, letting out a sigh. "So, tell me about this Luke guy."
