"Kristen this is Autumn, Autumn this is Kristen," Luke introduced them her to Ashton's girlfriend.

Kristen's eyes widened slightly as she met Autumn's gaze.

"Wait," She turned to Ashton. "Your ex Autumn?"

"Ex?" Luke and Michael exclaimed at the same time.

Autumn and Ashton exchanged nervous looks.

"You guys didn't know?" Kristen said, arching her eyebrows.

Luke looked down at Autumn, clearly bewildered and shocked.

"We were best friends and then we dated for a while, it's not a big deal," Ashton said, seeing that Autumn had no idea what to say.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Luke asked, raising his eyebrows.

In all fairness, they hadn't even known each other for a week.

"I was obviously going to."

After Autumn's diagnosis everything went downhill, including her and Ashton's relationship.

It was just one of those things where they were best friends and then they dated and yes, at the time they both had feelings for each other but it wasn't a long relationship and they definitely didn't feel that way anymore.

"How long were you dating for?"
Luke asked, looking between Autumn and Ashton.

"Not long," Ashton replied, his girlfriend staring at him.

"You told me it was up until she tried to-"

"Hey!" Calum shouted and everyone simultaneously turned around to see he had just entered

Autumn internally sighed with relief. It was too soon for that revelation to be told.

As the whole band was now there, everyone dispersed, thankfully not continuing the conversation.

It was clear that Ashton had told his girlfriend quite a lot about Autumn and she was fine with that but she obviously wasn't fine with her saying it out loud.

Kristen took a seat next to Autumn and immediately tried to apologize.

"Sorry about that, I didn't know that
th-"

"It's fine," Autumn said, forcing a smile.

The band were talking and getting their instruments ready and it looked like Calum was showing them the song he had wrote.

"Ashton got them a gig," Kristen told her.

Autumn was surprised she was even making conversation with her because she got the impression that Kristen didn't like her.

"That's great. Where is it?"

"It's this place my dad owns, called The Enterprise."

"Oh, I've heard of it."

"Have you been?"

Autumn had been about three times but it was one of those places where people mosh and she found it uncomfortable - as well as claustrophobic.

"Yes but mosh pits aren't really my thing," She said, thinking about the numerous times she had been accidentally punched whilst at that place.

"Oh yeah," Kristen laughed.

As Luke, Michael, Calum and Ashton were all discussing songs and occasionally practicing chords, Autumn and Kristen made small talk flowingly

Most of it was do with music and she understood what Luke had meant by the girl version of Ashton because Kristen acted a lot like him; she giggled a lot and was considerably benevolent.
